Reviews
The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, ensuring our visit was nothing short of perfect. Their genuine warmth and professionalism added a special touch to our dining experience.
We indulged in a variety of dishes, including sushi, calamari, and cinnamon balls, all of which were absolutely delicious. The highlight for me was the French toast–it was simply the best I’ve ever had! The flavors were perfectly balanced, making every bite a delight.
Ocean Prime has truly earned its 5 stars. The combination of superb food, excellent service, and a beautiful ambience makes it a must-visit destination for brunch. I can’t wait to return!
We chose Ocean Prime to celebrate our anniversary and unfortunately left disappointed overall. It took nearly 20 minutes before we were greeted by our waiter, which set the tone for the evening. The calamari appetizer was extremely overcooked and had to be sent back. While it was removed from the bill, the replacement appetizer was not comped, which was surprising given the issue.
The bar also struggled – every cocktail we ordered was overly sweet and unbalanced. My steak was overcooked and tough, which was disappointing given the price point and reputation of the restaurant. Our side of smoked Gouda tater tots was also extremely salty and difficult to enjoy. Overall, the service was very slow, and it took nearly three hours to complete our meal from start to finish.
That said, we did genuinely enjoy the oysters, which were fresh and well-prepared. I understand the restaurant was extremely busy, but for a bill approaching $400 – especially for a special occasion like an anniversary dinner – I expected a much higher level of service and attention to detail. Ocean Prime has a great reputation, which is why this experience was such a letdown.
We ordered an assortment of foods. We enjoyed the caviar deviled eggs and the calamari for an appetizer. I got the lobster which was cooked well (I found lobster can be hit or miss).
We’ve tried several nice restaurants in Dallas, and this one is my favorite so far.
