Cheba Hut sets a nearly unattainable bar for sandwich shops. I’ve had nearly everything on the menu and have never been disappointed. They use real bread, fresh toppings, and maintain a consistently high level of flavor and presentation. They also offer a variety of “munchies” that are served in large portions and are a perfectly sweet compliment to the savory sandwiches.
The staff is friendly, efficient and attentive, which are not common traits anymore, especially in an establishment such as this. I always tip wait staff well, but Cheba employees provide such excellent service that I am always compelled to tip them at a higher than typical rate.
The decor is stoner chic which provides a chill ambience, and the televisions are at a reasonable volume that doesn’t inhibit conversation.
The bar has a good variety of craft beers and quality liquor that are defintely not typical of similar establishments.
I have been eating at Cheba Hut for 25 years and I still can’t recommend them enough to anyone that has yet experienced the Cheba greatness. Keep up the good work folks.

This was our first stop after getting off the plane, and it did not disappoint! The service was friendly and fast, and the food was incredible with generous portions. It truly feels like a locals’ spot — not your typical tourist stop.
I ordered the White Widow (add banana peppers ), and my husband had the Italian. The bread was fresh and light, which made the sandwiches even better. We’ll definitely be adding this to our must-stop list anytime we’re in town!

In Tempe on business and decided to come here for lunch .. staff was friendly and helpful as he describe a couple of subs for me to consider .. decide on a couple of 4in “Nugs”, the AK-47 anf Midwest Best .. both tasted good but I like the Midwest Best more .. positive dining experience

I’m so disappointed! This used to be my favorite sub shop. They’ve gone down hill and the prices skyrocketed! I ordered my usual sub and dismissed the high price due to inflation, but what I got was a sorry disappointment. They used to fill the subs with veggies but it was so small and had hardly any veggies; one sad tomato a few pieces of lettuce, a tiny bit of feta… no black olives, no mushrooms, no pickles. All of which were supposed to come on the sandwich. I sure got cheated and I needed to doctor the sub when I got home. I definitely would have gone back to the counter to speak with a manager, but I ordered to go. I advise anyone ordering here to open their sub and check to make sure the sub is made right.

Got a 12 inch $17.00. My half had a slice of tomato and non existent avocado, plenty of lettuce to make it pretty. In this economy so many other places to go for a decent sandwich at $17. Maybe go lighter on the ingredients, some ppl love bread and lettuce anyway lol

Ordered delivery bc a coworker and I were hungry. Got two sandwiches two drinks and two plain crispies. Coworker cannot have chocolate. Food came with one crispy and it was chocolate. When I called the store to tell them I got a rude girl telling me that it’s “not their responsibility” when I said it would have been kind to call and ask what substitution (if any) I would have wanted, instead of just charging me for two plain crispies and giving me one chocolate one. It absolutely IS the store’s responsibility to call or check for substitutions if an item that is on the menu is not available. I’ve always liked Cheba Hut, but I think I’ll have to avoid this one. Customer service people need to be kind and patient.
