Social Profile:

Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

Circa-1950 fast-food chain for counter-serve burgers, some stacked with multiple patties.

Of course we all know this place is great — But this location is TOP TIER because of JAMES !!!!
He was super polite and so helpful. Literally brought my to go order to my table, asked if I wanted ketchup, and went to the side station to get me napkins even though I didn’t ask because I clearly could’ve gotten them myself —- he was also super helpful and understanding when I went back and forth on what I wanted. I just had to write a review in hopes that his bosses see what a great asset he is!!

If I could I would give 0 stars and I see why nobody eats there nomore . For the store to be more expensive than all the other whataburgers the food quality sucks . I ordered wings which supposed to be cook to order but they was cold and hard $15 for bull I’ll never spend another dime again . Even after I requested fresh food

All I’m gonna say is there was a wad of hair that came with our food! I emailed corporate 2 different times with not even an “I’m sorry for your unsatisfactory experience” reply. They put old & new onion rings together in my order despite the fact that I specifically asked for fresh ones & cooked light. For the money you pay to eat here there everything should be close to perfection as it can be! A large milkshake is $8 at this location when it’s only $5 at others. They don’t wear hair nets, obviously & the drink station is always a mess! I won’t go back to that location!

Hi, welcome to my self titled review. The End.

Ha just kidding. As you may know all of my reviews come with a backstory and “if you don’t know now you know.” A direct quote from The Notorious B.I.G. Now that my mind has wandered to a Biggie line, I’m thinking maybe that’s what I should refer to the burger I had from Whataburger as. Ok now back on track to the story. You’re in for some juicy back story just like my burger.Ok so maybe not as juicy as the burger, probably not even close lol.

Here we go. I was on my way cruising down I-85 South, when my stomach started talking to me. It said take an exit …. FOOD NOW!! Since I could no longer hear my music over my boisterous belly. I decided to take the nearest exit for food that contained a fast food restaurant that I was familiar with. I plugged the name of the spot in my G-Maps and headed that route only to find that spot and others surrounding it closed. I quickly gave up and asked G-Maps to route me back to the interstate, so I could perhaps try another exit. Just as I was maybe minutes away from the interstate, I saw Whataburger lit up like heaven. I thanked GOD for my luck and headed that way.

I ordered a jalapeño cheeseburger meal with a fresh brewed lemonade. For a fast food spot Whataburger understood the assignment. My fries were piping hot and fresh. The lemonade, a little bitter for my liking but definitely lemony. The burger, hot from the grill and spicy hot from the peppers. I must say I was impressed with the quality of food I received.

The service was incredible. The employees were happy, helpful and friendly. I received everything quickly and my ketchup needs were already anticipated. I’m so grateful that they were open super late. I know this place comes in clutch for hungry late drivers like myself.

“In clutch or In the clutch” slang phrase for something that comes in handy like a clutch in a time of need.

Just imagine, a lightly toasted bun, in-between that bun is a 5″ steak burger, with hot melted cheese. A top that is mustard, lettuce, tomatoes, dill pickles and onions. You bring it to your mouth for a big juicy bite, but wait! You also have perfectly breaded and cooked to a golden brown onion rings. That great crunch that is perfectly seasoned. You bite into it to discover a sweet, soft and buttery onion. Which do you eat first. Easy!! Put an onion ring on your burger! Get both tastes on the first bite. Enjoy! “Be a Beacon of light so others can find their way. Safe and happy travels!” Be’Be’

The staff was very pleasant. They greeted us when we walked in before we placed our orders. The meals were freshly prepared/hot. The other most important thing that was noticeable the dinning area was clean. If we are out running errands again, in it area we will stop at this particular location.

The managers need to do their job…they constantly have workers leaving due to poor management. The managers seem to think that the employees are their children to yell at. They always are loud with them in front of the customers. Food is good but the managers are pitiful. You really need new managers!!!

I come here twice a week but the last couple weeks we have went it but tonight as soon as we sit down 4 of whataburger own employees came and sit across from us, their just kids but at the same time I was raised to respect others and this did not happen at all. One of them had poppers they were throwing or something, they yelled for 15 mins straight and talked about what if I throw up every where most of the time. Absolutely disgusting behavior and there is no way I’d hire the main one in this group. He’s yelling a young girl as I type that she’s going to take all the trash out when he says, sucks I’m not 16 anymore I’d sing him a night night song. Yall raise ya children better.

On our way to Atlanta, we stopped for lunch at Whataburger and each ordered a chicken sandwich combo. We really enjoyed the taste of it! However, our favorite is Raising Cane’s over Whataburger!
