Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

He was super polite and so helpful. Literally brought my to go order to my table, asked if I wanted ketchup, and went to the side station to get me napkins even though I didn’t ask because I clearly could’ve gotten them myself —- he was also super helpful and understanding when I went back and forth on what I wanted. I just had to write a review in hopes that his bosses see what a great asset he is!!

Hi, welcome to my self titled review. The End.
Ha just kidding. As you may know all of my reviews come with a backstory and “if you don’t know now you know.” A direct quote from The Notorious B.I.G. Now that my mind has wandered to a Biggie line, I’m thinking maybe that’s what I should refer to the burger I had from Whataburger as. Ok now back on track to the story. You’re in for some juicy back story just like my burger.Ok so maybe not as juicy as the burger, probably not even close lol.
Here we go. I was on my way cruising down I-85 South, when my stomach started talking to me. It said take an exit …. FOOD NOW!! Since I could no longer hear my music over my boisterous belly. I decided to take the nearest exit for food that contained a fast food restaurant that I was familiar with. I plugged the name of the spot in my G-Maps and headed that route only to find that spot and others surrounding it closed. I quickly gave up and asked G-Maps to route me back to the interstate, so I could perhaps try another exit. Just as I was maybe minutes away from the interstate, I saw Whataburger lit up like heaven. I thanked GOD for my luck and headed that way.
I ordered a jalapeño cheeseburger meal with a fresh brewed lemonade. For a fast food spot Whataburger understood the assignment. My fries were piping hot and fresh. The lemonade, a little bitter for my liking but definitely lemony. The burger, hot from the grill and spicy hot from the peppers. I must say I was impressed with the quality of food I received.
The service was incredible. The employees were happy, helpful and friendly. I received everything quickly and my ketchup needs were already anticipated. I’m so grateful that they were open super late. I know this place comes in clutch for hungry late drivers like myself.
“In clutch or In the clutch” slang phrase for something that comes in handy like a clutch in a time of need.
Bae got the double Cheeseburger combo with bacon with onion rings.
We both got cokes.
Serve was great & the facilities were clean
