My wife and I just had an amazing meal at Kokuyo on Chestnut St, Roselle. The staff were attentive and welcoming right from the start. The dishes were creative and well-balanced, chicken skewers were a good size with a tangy sauce, and the fish taco was one of my favorites with great contrast of flavors. The trumpet mushrooms had a wonderful texture with refreshing sauce that worked beautifully together. The cod with spicy sauce and legumes was delicious and felt healthy and satisfying.The panna cotta was light, refreshing, and left me wanting more.
The overall vibe of the restaurant was welcoming and relaxed but stylish, and I really loved the aesthetic.
Overall, truly excellent, great job to the team. I’m excited to come back!
