The whole visit started out on a bad foot. We were waiting to be seated for over 5 minutes. There was no hostess at the front and although we saw servers, only one acknowledged us and said a hostess would be out in a bit. That didn’t happen. I ended up calling Applebee’s and got to the to go order person and told them I was out front waiting to be seated. Only then did someone come to seat us. The floors were dirty. Our waitress came out to tell us hi and said she would come back. I usually don’t mind being called honey, baby, or sweetie during my dining experience, but the use of all three words were used in excess! After every sentence we were called honey, sweetie or baby. Probably well over twenty times during our meal. I had ordered wings as an appetizer and then a bit later asked to do the 2 for $25 deal and asked if the wings could just be included in there since they were an appetizer option. The waitress made it sound hard to do since she had already put the order in and asked if I wanted an extra order of wings. After insisting I just wanted my wings as part of the meal, she finally relented and said she could do it. The food was standard Applebee’s. It came out hot and fresh so no complaints there. We did spend $145 with a tip for 5 adult meals, 2 appetizers, and 4 drinks. The strawberry lemonade apparently doesn’t come with free refills so that would have been nice to know, considering drinks are 3.50 a piece. The meal itself was $121 and then we left the tip. Out server gave us the check and told us to pay when we were ready. I never saw her again. My kid let me know I could pay at the table on the mini kiosk. Again, not a huge problem, but would have been nice if the waitress told me. During our time there we ended up having our waitress, one other checked in us, and I had to ask another waitress for a to go cup once my waitress never showed up after giving us the bill. I do want to commend our waitress on being as polite as possible, and working hard, but overall they just seemed short-staffed and trying to keep up even though it wasn’t busy. As far as food we got the ribeye meal with two sides, a combo appetizer, 2 chicken sandwich meals, and the 2 for $25 deal that had the boneless wings as an appetizer, a cheeseburger meal, and the rib plate that we upgraded to a platter for $2. Edit 12/23. Looked over my receipt again and the waitress DID charge me for my wings, so I paid an extra $12.29 for food not received. I did call and speak with the manager. He was an absolute delight! He patiently listened to me, acknowledged my concerns, and apologized. He offered a refund and a gift card to make up for my experience! He really went above and beyond and I appreciate that!

It was a little loud for a Wednesday night, but it’s whatever. Our server seemed really rude at first, but then we saw the table across from ours being extremely rude and you could just tell she was a little flustered. She apologized and was so nice after. Food was good, cooked well, and served in a timely manner. Clean restrooms. Highly recommend this one!

Great family friendly neighbor eatery, My Thursday destination for the 2 for 25. The best deal in Anderson all things considered. Megan or Taylor at the bar rail is the secret sauce to a great dinner.

Food was good, service was outstanding- Virginia was our waitress and she’s a real sweetheart, very helpful and knowledgeable about the menu, she keeps your drinks filled… Atmosphere: not too terrible but it’s kinda meh, rather dark unless you’re right next to a window.

This experience at this particular restaurant was horrible. We waited 15 minutes for a table.. they were pretty busy for 11pm. So no problem. We get seated and placed orders. The server spills my 11.00 drink, does not clean up nor give me anything to clean with, just walked away like this didn’t happen. Ordered another of same drink and he gave me a totally different flavor.2nd I asked for a well done steak got medium well. I didn’t notice until I cut more of the center of steak. So this is what did it for me. The server took my cut up steak with my plate of mashed potatoes. Reheated all the cut up meat and came back with frozen mashed potatoes. I was so disappointed in the service after spending 117.00 plus I still left a tip.

Granted I haven’t been to an Applebees in a longtime and it clearly hasn’t been updated in a long time. Seemed to be a lot of regulars at the bar and it was a nice vibe. Ok place to have a couple beers and an appetizer. The quesadilla was excellent. It could use a little extra housekeeping attention but otherwise no issues. We will be back.

We went for a gathering after losing a loved one. My husband and I were okay, but the others had many complaints. I know the host was doing her best. It was about 20 of us there. I wish my food portion was bigger. I had the 3 cheese chicken penne. The garlic bread was just regular bread. It was dry and no garlic. No worries. It was still a good time.

They always do me right. And I’ve gone quite a few times. The waiters/waitresses are nice and take care of you very well. If your around and thinking of a good cheap double dinner date. They have combo meals that work well on the wallet. Appetizer, 2 meals, and dessert. And the foods great too. Applebee’s for the win.
