We’ve been here twice, and this place hasn’t failed yet. The ambiance is amazing – the decor and setting all scream classy and traditional. The service is polite and prompt, and we got checked on. They give you fresh warm chips + salsa with unlimited refills to start.
The first time we got the family style fajitas with a few friends of ours, and it’s an amazing deal. Sizzling hot meat on warming platters and a constellation of great sides. We had a great time together and the restaurant made it even better.
The second time we got the weekday lunch buffet, which had some great options as far as tacos, mains, and desserts go. Plenty of great food to go around, and what a deal! We were stuffed with some great food. We tried most things and particularly liked their carnitas, the beef stew, the corn mash, and their flan.

Came here to use my husband’s birthday offer. Our server kept telling us over and over he didn’t see the birthday reward in his account. We showed him a screenshot and also logged onto the account to prove it was valid. Had to get manager and explain it all over again…good grief. Not a good experience at all. Why fight us on something you offered us?
Plus, I’m finding the food is bland.

Just came from Sunday Brunch to celebrate my Fathers Birthday everything was amazing. Food was always warm and fresh. The marachi sounded so lovely really gave everything a great feel of authenticity, but what the cherry on top was the server Jorge. He was so attentive, making sure are mimosas were never empty, he was so sweet to my son and family, and the twril LOVED IT. All the tables around us had nothing but praises for him. Hopefully the next we are back we get seated in his section again.

Friendly and attentive as always! Our waitress Samantha was great and made sure everything was perfect. The food was delicious. Manager Pablo also stopped by and made us feel truly welcomed; great service all around. Will definitely come back again.

In town for work I am staying next door to this restaurant and went In for some dinner and holy hell. The salsa you get is like a punch in the face spicy but man it’s so good.
Then there is the food. My god, the burrito was absolutely fantastic, went back last night and had the other burrito it was okay but not as good as the other one (lots of onions and well I hate onions)
The only down side was the service was crazy slow on the 2ed visit here but the first and 3ed were amazing.
My server the first and third night was Alfredo, he was fantastic. Over all 5 stars but the service could be better. But don’t let slow service stop you from going here. The food is top notch.
UPDATE. Was in town for a week and ate here 5 days in a row. Yes it is that good. Alfredo was my server for most of the visits. He was fantastic, even gave him some Canadian Chocolate for his wife and kids. I wish there was Mexican food like this near me.

I’ve only been to El Torito once but it was the one of the best nights of my life. I’m from out of town and I was visiting a local lady who was a regular there and we had a great dinner and evening. The staff was extremely friendly and the food was very good. The atmosphere of the restaurant was casually elegant. I remember the front entrance in the lobby area being very nice, just an overall great experience.

Give Jorge a raise! I’m a frequent customer at this location. Jorge has been our waiter several times and he always goes above and beyond to make our dining experience excellent. For example, he changed and changed our chips with freshly warm made chips. He is always up beat and smiling giving your establishment a positive vibe. Please use him as an example when training new employees. I don’t mind tipping well for great service and food.

Just want to say I had a very different experience at this location. I’ve been to many restaurants, and all have been nice, attentive, and sometimes friendly, but at this location, I had one of the best. Eddie was the one that helped me that night. He was very helpful, and recommended some items from the menu. I wasn’t sure on what to order, and he immediately asked what I liked, what I was in the mood for, and even what drinks were my favorite. I really liked his attention to every single detail. I would really recommend him, and this place for your next visit. If you’re not sure on where to go for a date night, or even a day to relax by yourself and enjoy good food, El Torito in Cypress is your to go place, and Eddie is the server/bartender to ask for!!!!
