We were sat immediately once we arrived, made reservations just in case due to it being Valentine’s Day. Our server approached promptly and we got our drinks and apps ordered. Our server was kind and attentive so 10/10 there.
We ordered Oysters Rockefeller and the choice did not disappoint. The oysters were pipping hot and fresh. I would liken these to spinach and artichoke dip meets oyster, very flavorful.
For food my mom ordered the Crab Daddy boil and she loved it. Ordered cajun flavor with no heat. Tasty with a little tang, and matched perfectly with the seafood. Her meal came with crab, corn, hardboiled egg and potato. All of which were delish.
I ordered the Cajun boil, and had it simply steamed. I believe seafood should be enjoyed for what it is and let those flavors of the sea speak for themselves. My boil included crab, lobster claws, mussels, sausage, potatoes, and corn. Everything tasted perfect and it was fun breaking into the crab legs and lobster claws.
Our drinks were two glasses of prosecco, light and easy to drink.
Here are some areas for improvement:
1: Ask the customer if they are a Landry’s Select Club member. Sometimes being caught up in the moment we may forget. That is what happened to me I forgot, so asking us will not only allow us to use any rewards we have, but also upsell to those who are not enrolled.
2: Timing of the photographer. I appreciate the gesture and did buy all the pics she took but it was highly inconvenient. Reviewing photos and having to make payments mid crab crack is such a burden. I had to stop what I was doing, find napkins, use our wetnaps just to pay. Take photos early on, have the server inform the photog the customer is ready to close out the tab and both return together. This way all hands are clean and the customer does not have to stop eating.
Overall great experience and we will return.
He joined the entire restaurant in singing Happy Birthday to my brother, making the celebration truly memorable. We’re so grateful for that special touch.
The food was delicious! | had the dynamite mac and cheese, and it was incredible. The lively atmosphere made it a perfect evening. We will absolutely be returning in the future.
