Once Upon a Bookseller is a lovely delightfully quaint small privately owned bookstore. This is not a chain! You will find unusual books, but not necessarily everything you might be looking for. They do take orders. Once Upon A Bookseller has an amazing selection of journals. So if you like to journal you might want to stop in there and pick one up. While visiting Georgia be sure to stay long enough to enjoy a spectacular sunset or three!

I moved from Colorado and California where we had Carl’s Jr (Hardee’s) EVERYWHERE…
When I moved to a tiny town called Beaver in Utah, with ONE stop light (yes only one stop light) and a population in the main Town of about 1050 adults (including the population of the state prison/county jail) and about 800 children that live within the city limits, and because this Town is also the County Seat for all farms, dairies, resorts, Sheriff’s, and all city Officials…
There is a Grand Total County Population of 3,590 people that covers 2,592 square miles, as well as including the unincorporated properties, farms, ranches, dairies, the Eagle Mountain, Minersville reservoir, Fishlake National Forest, and multiple lakes…
And let me tell you when you realize that there only a Burger King, McDonald’s, and Dairy Queen because this Town was the only Gas Station and Truck Stop on the Interstate 15 75-100 miles from an actual City…
I spent almost 5 years there and when they were finally building a Hardee’s in my town… I moved to South Florida before it opened… and I have been CRAVING Hardee’s for over 14 years.
I have a distinct memory and keen recollections of flavor and texture of everything from buns, fries, produce, meat, sides, and even the type of oil used at restaurants…
And I have to say that I was thoroughly impressed with the Hardee’s/Carl’s Jr ‘s commitment and ability to provide the exact same quality and service over their entire US locations. Everything from breakfast and their hand made biscuits, to lunch/dinner with the same sauces, quality,and cooked to order charbroiled meats. Everything was extremely fresh and if you want an authentic old school not frozen meat charbroiled to order with french fries, waffle fries, or even fresh fried zucchini or onion rings… You can’t go wrong at Hardee’s/Carl’s Jr!

We stopped for breakfast on our way to Fort Lauderdale. We went through the drive thru. It wasn’t busy, only one car in front of us but it was taking forever. Turns out that they were having issues with the speaker on the order board which was causing delays. Once we made it to the window, the server was very nice and professional. Our food was fresh and delicious. The lot and building looked clean and well maintained. Hopefully they’ve gotten that speaker fixed. I would return if in the area and hungry.

Wife had mushroom Swiss burger and she said it just wasn’t hot, or fresh. I had 3 regular burgers like you buy for your kids. They are easier to hold and eat while driving. Ask if they would add a little mayo. Well , they added a couple packages of mayo and put that in the bag. Guess I should have been a little more specific. Patty was dry from sitting so long. Had way too many onions and pickles, bun was dried out and cold. But!!! The apple pies were hot and fresh.

Food was really good. Hadn’t been to a Hardees in years and tasted just like I remember. Staff was very friendly. Restaurant was clean. Staff was very courteous and quick. Some how it played Rocky music over the speakers the whole time. I loved it.

After years away, I decided to revisit Hardee’s and see what I had been missing. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger, which was decent but didn’t quite hit the spot as I remembered. The flavors were there, but it felt a bit underwhelming. Unfortunately, the fries were a letdown, arriving cold and lacking that crispy goodness we all crave.
On the brighter side, my fiancé ordered the Nashville Hot Chicken and a double burger. He really enjoyed both! The Nashville Hot Chicken had a nice kick and was flavorful, while the double burger delivered on taste and satisfaction.
Overall, our experience was just okay. While my fiancé’s meals brought a smile, the cold fries and my average burger left something to be desired. I’d consider giving Hardee’s another chance in the future, hoping for a more consistent experience.

Terrible service! They weren’t paying attention to what they were doing. The cashier made me pay twice because, according to her, my card hadn’t gone through. I showed her my bank statement to prove I had paid, but she insisted I hadn’t, in front of all the other customers. I was so embarrassed that I paid again, so I ended up paying twice for my meal. And then, to top it all off, they didn’t even give me the order I requested; they gave me the wrong one. I didn’t want to go back, so I just threw the food away. I practically gave them two payments for nothing, and they made me feel humiliated and ashamed in front of the other customers.
