The food and customer service is great! I can’t wait to see what they do with the lobby area! I’m very picky about my food and so I just ordered my husband‘s food and tasted his. Had we not had to runoff and pick up our girls, I definitely would’ve ordered another plate!
The fish is literally cooked to perfection. It almost reminds me of when my uncle would bring home fresh catfish to cook. The shrimp was just as good.
The sweet potatoes are very good. They’re a smidgen too sweet literally just a little off but overall, if it wasn’t that little smudging off, it would be a 10 out of 10.
The macaroni and cheese was good as well tasted as if I made it in my own kitchen, definitely 10 out of 10. I need y’all to let them do what they do in the kitchen and not complain, OK? Because some Jamaican seasoning would’ve paired well with this.
No, the sweet potato cornbread was very flavorful, but it was a little dry, so grab your milk.
We will definitely be back! I immediately told my husband “Sis stole our money already” . I am very picky when it comes to my food and can definitely say that the overall meal was good!

Just left this place for the 1st time. Everything about this experience was great! Great family, and food is extraordinary. Nothing too heavy, even the macaroni wasn’t overly cheesy like most places and man.. some of the best mac n cheese I’ve had in forever. Everything has flavor! Peach tea was delicious, broccoli, grilled lemon pepper shrimp etc etc!! This is what soul food supposed to taste like!! 10 stars!!!!!!! Oh and they have sweet potato cornbread which is new to me but definitely worth a try. Prices are definitely pocket friendly. But the moment you walk in and see the people there you know you came to the right place. Thank you all and God bless! I bought someone’s items at dollar general (they had issuec with card) after I left.. yall put me in a good mood. Almost forgot I came for food.

Went for the first time today and will definitely be going again. I ordered the grilled pork chop, fried okra, and cabbage and my daughter got the chicken sandwich, rice and gravy, and mac-n-cheese, both with cornbread. It tasted like everything was made fresh! The chicken and pork chop were seasoned really well, but would definitely be better with a sauce (my fault for not getting any). The cornbread is of the sweet variety and very moist and flavorful. Rice and gravy was really good. The cabbage was okay; cooked to the perfect texture but a bit salty for my taste (I like a more vinegar base). The portions were huge and very worth the price – the chicken plate was only $10 for all that! Plus everyone there was incredibly friendly and the food came out in a very reasonable amount of time.

I ate here a few weeks ago for the first time with my boyfriend. My grandma was from Arkansas, passed away in 2018 and by far this is the closest thing to her cooking I’ve ever eaten. The food is AMAZING, the atmosphere feels like home, and the service makes you feel like you’re a part of the family. Never would’ve guessed a small town place would become my favorite restaurant but here we are.

This soul food restaurant deserves every bit of 10 stars! From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming — you can truly feel the love and pride poured into this place. The owner is amazing and makes you feel like family, and the food… absolutely incredible! Everything is seasoned to perfection, but my personal favorite is the oxtails — I don’t know what magic they used, but they are out of this world!
If you’re looking for great food, great people, and a beautiful vibe, this is the spot. I 100% highly recommend visiting and trying it out — you won’t be disappointed! ✨

I’m pretty disappointed in the food I got today. The rice was hard and barely had any gravy on it, the catfish was burnt and salty, and the Mac and cheese and corn bread was dry. The greens were good though! I might have came at a bad time maybe, but I was so excited about this place.

OMG thy food was horrible! i am a cooker specializing in soul food and decided to order out. The black eye peas were overcooked and too salty, the yams were absolutely disgusting and the fried chicken was definitely not normal. Waste of my money for sure.
