This is normally a great spot that we love eating at. This time it was not the case. There were 5 of us in our party. We were buzzed in at the door and were seated promptly. Not very busy for a Monday night. I see less staff than usual, which is understandable. We ordered drinks and the fiesta dip. Drinks were decent; however, the margarita was not something we would order again. Very lightly poured and was disappointing for a $9 margarita. Having to order up to get a decent pour is ridiculous. The fiesta dip never came to the table. We had chips and salsa, which ran out and were never refilled or even offered. Drinks sat around empty for longer than expected for such a slow night. Food was less than appealing. The salt content was over the top. Never have we experienced food like this at Teresa’s. I want to chalk it up to a fluke, which I seriously hope was the case. It would be nice if our server could have taken the time to understand what we wanted, that would have been great. Even when we asked about desserts, he just walked away from the table. No acknowledgement or anything. When we were able to actually order the desserts, there was no acknowledgement from any kind to the point where I had to turn around and look at him to get his attention as he tried to walk off. I suppose this is why he didn’t get our fiesta dip order. Rude to say the least. We tipped our regular 25% regardless but walked out rather annoyed with the lack of service and quality of food this time. You can do better. We know from experience.

Teresa’s in Mendota Heights is one of the best! The food is delicious, arrives quickly, and is very authentic. The portions are generous. There will be leftovers to take with.
The service is top notch as well. Our server was very pleasant, patient with all of our little substitutions/requests, and attentive to our needs. Never had to ask for a refill as it was there just before we needed it.
The ambience is wonderful. Tables are not stacked on top of one another so you have space to breathe. Ample parking.
Simply put, great food with great service in a great setting!

I have gone here so many times. Food was great. I order a to go order, street tacos two orders, and I picked it up at 9:00 pm. We didn’t start eating until 10 pm after they close, it was all red onion. We couldn’t even eat the tacos it was gross. I called the next morning when they opened, and asked to speak with the manager, they told me manager wasn’t in yet call at 3 pm. I called at 3 pm they said manager was in a meeting, call back at 5 pm. I had to work but I got off a little before 10 pm and called they told me very snotty the manager is leaving we are closing. I told him ive been trying to call all day. So the next day anoon I go to the restaurant and manager that came to the front accused me of not calling right away, I told him you were closed by the time we ate and I tried calling 3 times yesterday, I want my money back it was all red onion and we couldn’t even eat the food. It was almost $30 and I’ve never had a problem before. Then he told me you must not have asked for a manager, I said yes I did. Then he said he would have to call someone to see if he could give me a refund. Took my number and said he’s call me, never got a call. Unbelievable!!! I’ll never eat there again. That’s how you treat regular to go customers when you screw the food up and I have tried to contact you and your telling me you don’t believe me? Great way to lose a customer and I’ll let everyone I know how theresas in mendota heights treats people when they had a bad experience with their food.

We got a big group and our waitress was very patients and happy as she checks up on our table making sure our food tastes good and we’re satisfied! The food was brought out hot and it tasted delicious! The chips are warm and crispy with that delicious salsa. I ordered pina colada and it could be better. I didn’t like the pink syrup and I can only tasted crush sweet ice.

DO NOT EVER CATER FROM HERE! I placed almost $700 catering order and they completely forgot ALL the meat for our taco bars. I called and asked for them to immediately have the meat ready and for a credit of some sort because we had to drive 1hr round trip to pick it up. They did not give us any sort of a credit AND only provided half of our original order when we returned to pick it up. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!

Visited with my co-workers. I’m allergic to shellfish, so my options were a little limited. I got their steak street Tacos with rice – the meat was cut up in larger pieces, but pretty tender. Service was a little slow, but the restaurant was packed. Everyone got their food at the same time. I recommend if you’re in the area!
