My Son had visited this place earlier and since he had a great experience here, he made sure that we also visit here. If I may say so, the Collins Street Bakery is a historical bakery, established in 1896and maintains its tradition of excellent products, very well. There is definitely as ambience of history to it, which you can feel as soon as you get in.
We tasted their Apple Pie, Choco Danish and six varieties of cookies and they all were just fabulous.
There is a cute small place, where one can sit and savour the delicacies.
Staff are ever courteous, smiling and ready to help as assist.
Ample parking is available.
A must visit if you are travelling from Dallas to College Station. Corsicana is enroute.

Had a great stop at Collin Street Bakery in Corsicana! The coffee was fresh and flavorful, and the cake was soft and delicious. The place has a cozy, welcoming vibe that makes you want to stay longer. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area!
You can also get your tesla charged while enjoying the food.

Absolutely stop here anytime you pass. Our family always calls ahead a day for bakery items and on the road for lunch a they always have our order ready when we get there. It’s delicious. Their cinnamon rolls are our families guilty pleasure. The fruit and cream danishes are the best we’ve had. The muffins are always a hit. Apple pie is also wonderful. You won’t regret it.

A very good authentic American bakery. It has very good options for American breakfast. And the Deluxe Fruit Cake is a must try. Living up to its legacy this place is a must try if you’re passing by.

This place has very affordable items available . I got like one of almost everything, to try, from that dessert case. I also didn’t know they also served sandwiches so I had to place another order to try some of the food. The staff here are so nice and very helpful! I’m glad I don’t live close to here because I would gain so much weight. I really enjoyed this place.

So excited to run into this cute little historic bakery, on my way from Houston to Dallas. This was a perfect stop as they have Tesla charging ports outside and you can easily enjoy lots of cute little desserts bakery items as well as hot deli sandwiches. And who can forget the fruit cakes this place is known for fruit cakes that come in all different sizes as well as flavours and toppings. The coolest thing was to see the pictures put up around the store which almost gives it a bit of a museum/historic feel as you get to learn about the bakery and where it started and how it started, et cetera. The highlight for me was seeing the letter written in 1979 from someone in Norway requesting this bakery to send a fruit cake to their grandma in that year that was amazing and super cool to see. I’m so glad that we came across this tiny little hidden gem on our way. Maybe it’s a popular and you know we just didn’t know, but I would highly recommend anybody and everybody to check this out. Oh by the way our server was super sweet and super caring and made sure that we had what we needed for our lunch.

My sibling and I were returning to our prospective homes on Saturday, March 1, 2025, from Dallas after a canceled athletic event.
It was noted by my sister on the way the previous day there that our mother had a long-standing tradition for ordering a fruit cake annually, at this particular Collin Street Bakery.
I suppose that tradition originated from her mother too. We were only hungry Saturday afternoon, for some travel time and something spicy.
And I am happy to see they served up some hot Texas chile. With grated cheese and chopped onion. A+
I tried first by attempting to purchase Frito pie, which was still displayed on their menu board. No luck for Frito pie.
In humor, I suppose Frito Lay is not willing to give Collin Street Bakery the price break they deserve to hold onto a real old tradition by Texas standards as Frito pie is. Time transcends meal habits, too!
Besides a hearty 16 oz. Cup of chili I ordered a slice of key lime cheesecake. The tart taste I love after something spicy. With a coffee.
Aside note: I tried a sample of their fruitcake, offered by them at the cashier counter. And I added it as a topping to my keylime cheesecake pie slice for somme added flavor! It works good this way too, Thanks, Collin Street!
Great time for dinner & desert is here!!
