We were a BBQ Food truck, forged in Lockhart Tx, the BBQ capital of Texas, earning the seal of approval from the Big 4 BBQ places in town. We now have a small restaurant in New Braunfels, Texas along with a mobile foodtruck and catering! Our meats are smoked low and slow, right on site on a real wood burning smoke pit using post oak and our own unique blend of spices that set us apart from traditional salt and pepper, Texas BBQ. Everything we make is made from scratch using our original recipes, including the sauces that perfectly compliment our meats. Our signature sweet and tangy BBQ sauce is so good I’ve seen people drink it! Like it spicy? Try our habanero/mango sauce. Don’t forget your homemade sides and deserts.

My friend Mimi and had the Pulled Pork with Coleslaw. It was delicious. The Coleslaw was fabulous, along with the Potato salad. Loved the outdoor seating cute decor. Customer Service was wonderful very friendly and helpful.

Very disappointed. The mac and cheese was so bland and it was mixed with shells and macaroni, almosg like yhe comboned some craft boxes together. The brisket was just pure fat. Not a single bit of meat on it. The ribs were so hard and chewy that you couldn’t eat it or pull off the meat. Worst bbq ever.

Stopped in to try the smoked meatloaf special (Thursday) and boy am I glad I did!!
The meatloaf had great smokey flavor and perfectly seasoned!
The mashed potatoes are so creamy and garlicky! I personally wish they were more chunky but still love them!
I will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu!!!

It might look like a hole in the wall but they are by far the best bbq in town. Super friendly and accommodating staff. DEFINITELY A MUST IN NEW BRAUNFELS! And they also have a food truck across the street from Walnut and Business 35! Everything is amazing but so far my favorite is the garlic sausage. I will try everything one day I order something new every time and am never disappointed!

Locally owned BBQ place, with amazing flavor! The staff there were great, and very friendly. My wife ordered the sampler plate. Ribs, brisket, pulled pork, and sausage. Everything was delicious! The ribs are fall off the bone tender! I ordered the turkey sandwich and a sausage roll. The turkey was fantastic! Their corn, and the mac and cheese was also good. I’ve got to say, out of all of this goodness, the star of the show that tied it all together was their mango habanero BBQ sauce!! Dynamite!!!! Thank you for a great dining experience! We will definitely be back!!

We are new in town and wanted to try this place. Well don’t recommend brisket was mushy we asked for lean not what we got, chicken was DRY. Mac and cheese had zero flavor. Potato salad was more like mashed potatoes with mustard no seasoning. Well we ended up getting sick Sausage was good

Love their bbq. Always fresh, you wait a few minutes for them to slice and build your sandwich, nice folks. Kind of mashed you think your aunt decided to sell her fabulous bbq. Go whenever in the new braunfels area.

I have been eating Mighty Oak BBQ for over 5 years, back when they had a truck set up at Black Clover. The food quality is STILL the exact same. IMPECCABLE. This is the only BBQ I crave and will eat as it is as close to my grandpa’s that I can find. Give it a try, you won’t be disappointed. The staff is ALWAYS friendly from the owners all the way to the waitresses that run in circles with smiles on their faces. I feel like I’m on my back patio having BBQ with family, and it has been that way since the first time I tried them. And if you don’t try the banana pudding, you’re robbing yourself and should pay a penalty! Crystal you are an amazing soul and you light up every room you enter!

The people were very friendly. The sauce was rancid, mac and cheese was so bad I had to throw it away it tasted like it passed its shelf life but not rancid like the sauce, turkey sandwich was decent except the end slice that was tough in which I thru that slice away. The bun was good.
Responding to owner comment: I went to the New Braunfels location on Walnut, it was the Friday before my review at approximately 5:45 pm, the BB-Q sauce was prepacked in the portion control to go cups, the mac and cheese did not taste smoky to me. It is not my intent to bash just being honest from my tastes in food. If you see some of my other reviews of restaurants they are fair and to me, accurate. Isn’t this what reviews are for? I can take it down if you wish, just let me know.

Ordered the 3 meat plate tonight, no bbq sauce, meat was dry, flavor was ok, but it was very dry. Sausage was good. Had Turkey, sausage and brisket. I asked if they had ribs, and they told me no. Thought that was kind of strange. The sides came in their own small containers, which was nice, but the mac n cheese was cold. Cold slaw was good. Banana pudding was delicious.
