I’ve been to Congregation several times and it never disappoints. I’ve tried their seasonal coffees in both summer and fall, and all of them were unique and delicious—my favorite was the Summer Fizz and Flora. The breakfast options are simple but great; their avocado toast is one of my favorites. It’s definitely a coffee shop I love coming back to.

Stopped by Congregation Coffee in Memphis and was genuinely impressed! The location is convenient, and the shop looks beautiful inside and out—clean lines, warm interiors, and a calm, welcoming vibe.

As a first-timer, I asked for a recommendation and was pointed toward the spicy chai latte—and it did not disappoint. Perfectly balanced with just the right kick, it’s definitely something I’d go back for.

They also have outdoor seating, which is a nice touch for cooler mornings, and even a conference room and private area you can reserve—perfect if you want to work or host a small meet-up.

Overall, great drinks, thoughtful service, and a cozy atmosphere. Definitely adding this to my Memphis coffee rotation!

Congregation Coffee is a very popular spot! I walked in surprised that the whole cafe was full and bustling with energy. Thank goodness I’ve got AirPods with noise cancelling and voice isolation, or else I don’t think I would have been able to take a call or work in here. This place is great for meeting with friends, colleagues or just to enjoy a drink looking over the floor from upstairs. They have metal spiral staircase for a more homey feel. Overall the staff is very friendly. I ordered the sage lavender tea and had hoped for a teapot with the loose leaf tea so that I could steep the pricey tea for $5 several times though. Free WiFi and located in a beautiful building and plaza.

I was thrilled when they opened, because Germantown has a paucity of shops that serve quality coffee. The coffee is generally brewed well, and they typically have a decent selection of treats to enjoy with my coffee.

However, we have noticed a persistent decline in the quality of service. More times than not, the staff are overly rude and seemingly irritated with patrons’ orders. When they get orders wrong, they seem to always blame it on the customer rather than their own process, and then they take it out on the customer. I have been subject to this behavior, and witnessed it among others as I sat nearby. I’ve been treated more kindly at the DMV before.

All food is removed from cabinets a hour and a half before closing time, and cleanup begins early. If you come in anywhere close to this time (I’m not talking about 15 min before closing), they will ignore you at the counter until they have to address you. It is very obvious that the workers want to close up WAY before the actual closing time, and you will not stand in their way.

Lastly, proper attire for staff would be appreciated, as during the warmer months, staff were seen scratching exposed areas of their body while serving food and drink. This was a one off (or two) event, but hard to forget.

Overall, this coffee shop started out wonderfully, and continues to serve excellent coffee. However, there definitely needs to be focus on customer service and general attitude of the workers. I want this place to do well, but until this aspect is addressed (I’m not the only one who has noticed), I’d rather drive a little further to Jojo’s where I have never experienced anything other than kindness and a helpful demeanor.

Best coffee I’ve had in Memphis so far. Great balance of good tasting notes in the coffee with any syrups added. I just did vanilla but it wasn’t too sweet and I could taste the coffee. Loved it. The breakfast croissant was also excellent. Will definitely be back!

I’m trying out new local coffee spots for the Memphis Summer Coffee Shop Hop and spent my morning working from here and it was a nice atmosphere. My drink was good and the honey butter croissant? AMAZING. Still thinking about it. My only gripes are there’s not many accessible power outlets and it gets a bit warm with those big beautiful windows letting the sun in. Otherwise I enjoyed it and even though it’s a 30 minute drive I plan on coming back for another remote work day at some point.

This is a very cute coffee place, a brand new addition to the coffee scene in the Memphis area. I visited before they were formally inaugurated, still it was super crowded. They have a big space inside with many couches, and tables. Also they have meeting rooms which you could reserve it ahead and have your meetings! So cool ! I got a cup of mocha and a scone. The honey- bacon scone was decent, and the coffee was good. They actually serve the coffee in cups, if you don’t order a to-go, which is so good. These days most of the places serve coffee in disposable cups ( instead of real cups) even if you don’t want it to-go.

The food was NOT GOOD. The eggs looked like they were overcooked, while the bread didn’t even look toasted. The avocado also looked unripe or just old. I would only get coffee next time. Just know it’s also not that good, but nothing else on the menu is worth it. It would be a cute place to study, but the workers looked like they hated their jobs. They never smiled back or said anything when I said thank you or have a nice day. Overall, I wouldn’t go back. It is not worth your money

There is literally nothing bad here. Prices compatible to starbucks but their food and coffee is miles better. I go twice a week. On the weekends I study – they have enough outlets normal sometimes it gets busy so come with a full charged laptop and by the time you need to plug it in theres a spot.

I enjoyed congregation coffee . Beware the cold brew is extremely strong! It was good but It tastes more like concentrate. I had only a few sips and got jittery. I am usually not sensitive to caffeine
