It was our first visit to this restaurant. We had the Sunday buffet ($16.50 each which included drinks). The selection of meats (which also included fish and shrimp) and veggies provided a nice choice. They also had biscuits, plain cornbread and jalapeno cornbread. A nice salad bar along with a cake/bread pudding and banana pudding. Definitely worth the money. I use a cane and the tables are very close together. It made it a little difficult for me to get around. I’m not sure anyone with a walker or wheelchair would be able to navigate. They would have to have one of the first tables. If it were closer to us I could see it becoming a favorite place to eat. Unfortunately, we don’t find ourselves in the Little River/North Myrtle Beach area very often. I would love to try the breakfast buffet sometime.

Was not impressed. We got two clubs $30 there was barely any meat on our clubs which is suppose to be ham and turkey. They use packaged orange cheese. Your pretty much paying for bread tomatoes and lettuce. Drive a few mins up the road to Curlys cafe. Less people. Better food. The server didn’t even come back and check on us and you could barely understand her. IDK what the heck they put in there potatoe salad but that was awful to. Don’t waste your time.

They have delicious home cooked food here. They have a lot of options on the buffet line, or you can order from their menu. You do not have to get the buffet. The service is great, and the food is delicious. This is a cool little place to eat, and you could tell there were a lot of locals eating here. Stop in and try them out when in the area and looking some home cooked food.

Breakfast this Saturday morning was delicious. I ordered buffet and my girlfriend ordered off the menue. We both enjoyed our food, the service and atmosphere. We observed, that even though it was very busy, all customers were very well attended to! We will definitely return.

Mama Jean’s is straight fire! The food hits different every time—everything is so flavorful and homey, like grandma cooked it. Portions are huge, vibes are cozy, and the staff are super chill and friendly. Lowkey my go-to spot when I want comfort food that actually slaps. No cap, if you’re in the area, you gotta check it out!

Wow, why’d it take me so long to eat here?! Yes, I live 32 miles away, but I’ve been to Little River and neglected this cute diner.
Stopped in today for lunch and had their meat and 3 sides (with bread and iced tea) meal deal. I had the meatloaf, mashed potatoes, mac-n-cheese, and butter beans. It was delicious, large portions, and everything tasted very fresh. Cost was $11.95. Plus, the staff was very friendly and helpful. Recommended!!!

Excellent breakfast. This ain’t no reheated Sysco. This is real food. It was all so delicious. I was excited to see Scrapple on the menu. The biscuits are big homemade cathead southern biscuits. Choices of jams on the table and whipped butter on the table. Loved that the waitresses work as a team together so you dont have a “set” waitress. They all help all the tables which I thought was cool. It was very very busy there but they ran it very efficiently and when my toddler got whiny waiting on her food the waitress brought offer a treat for her without us even asking! All the waitresses were so nice and helpful. I sont know how they were carrying tennplates uo their arm at a time. I would be dropping stuff everywhere and crying in the walk in freezer. Lol I will definitely be back here again when we visit my mom.
