This is one of the only places I’ve rated 4 stars overall while giving it 5 stars in every category. Why? Because of one serious miss at this price point, no salad or any kind of vegetable. Their absolutely delicious Steak Hawaiian came with French fries, no other option, a serious miss in my opinion. We also had their spinach artichoke dip as an appetizer which was delicious. The service was outstanding, the atmosphere was lovely. The prices were high. And
the place was packed on a Tuesday afternoon from 2 pm until we left at 4 pm. Not an empty table.

I recently visited Houston’s at Riverside Mall, and it was an all-around fantastic experience! The service was truly amazing, everyone was friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcomed from the moment we walked in. The food was just as impressive; everything we ordered was delicious and full of flavor. My friends and I had such a great time and left already talking about our next visit. Highly recommend Houston’s if you’re looking for great food, great vibes, and outstanding service! Joanna was SO sweet, wish we could bring her back to college with us. Love her and all the girlies here!! Great place. Xoxoxoxox!!

This place is such a classic. One of my favorite restaurants growing up. Despite changes through the years, the service and vibe has stayed the same which is lovely.
They have tons of rules for the food which is understandable since they are a corporate group. Also make interesting choices like getting rid of the sesame buns some years ago (I understand it’s probably an allergy thing, I’m just sad because they were delicious) and getting rid of their Shirley temples? Why would they do that? But hey, that’s why I’m not a restaurant manager I suppose.
I love their starter salad, the smoked salmon starter, the artichokes (seasonal), the veggie burger, the cheeseburger, the rotisserie chicken salad, the coleslaw, the Cesar salad- everything! And you have to end your meal with a hot fudge sundae or did you even go!

This is a go-to in our family, we come every time we wanna treat ourselves or special occasions, the food here is always delicious and on point! Drinks are great and well crafted, service is very good. It’s definitely more of an adults vibe, date night or girls night type of vibe. not so much for kids or big parties because of the way it’s structured. Definitely adviced to make reservations if more than 3 guests. We love it!

I went to enjoy a tasty veggie burger my sister bragged about. She was right. It is delicious. Houston’s veggie burger appears to be prepared in-house versus a plain frozen patty. My mom enjoyed their trout… yummy! The presentation of the food was great (see pics). The service was excellent, professional, and friendly. It appeared that all staff were happy to help even though we were not their table. We appreciated the great service. The restaurant is beautiful with a very relaxing atmosphere. I’m am looking forward to going back… and it is not just for the wonderful key lime pie… though it has a lot to do with it!

I have been coming here since their opening and each time I come back, I always have the “it’s not the same” feelings. As in I feel like the place is declining there.
I definitely do not get the reservation part of it, as I still waited about 30-45 min for a table, and hardly anyone was there that day.
For apps, we got the Spinach Artichoke dip and the smoke salmon. Asked for more chips and toast wedges, and they didn’t forget! Service was pretty good so far. The dip was still as good. The smoke salmon though didn’t have the intense smoke flavor. The sauce with the salmon was thinner than usual.
However, we were done with the apps and no one took any of the app plates away. It wasn’t until our main course came that they all scrambled to grab the plates. From their beginnings to I’m guessing a few years ago, they would take the empty plates, switch out the used fork and knives, and cleared off any crumbs.
Our main course were the chickens sandwich, french dip, ribs and a center cut. The center cut was grilled well, however for the price it didn’t even come with sides? I was blown away. The ribs still had that flavor and it was good, however dried and not as knife and fork tender. Chicken sandwich was okay, lacked something because it was flavorless. The prime dip, my usual favorite, was okay. The bread was way too chewy, where I had to pull to break off the piece that was in my mouth. The au jus was too salty.
I looked at some of the other reviews and seems like people still love this place, so they won’t miss me.

Solo mission just me and miss Spinach Dip for the score which was absolutely perfect.
The temperature, taste, consistency. Even kids that do not eat spinach will love this dip.
The presentation of the Buttermilk Fried Chicken underneath the slaw, tomatoes, cheese and spicy mayo is winner. And the soft bread will make you ask for just the bread to go.

I love this place but today I liked it even more I had a great waitress named Jordan she was very accommodating to my fasting issue when I arrived at the Resturant early. She was also very knowledgeable about the menu and the specials of the day. We ordered 2 things that she recommended if they were great good vibes all around deff go people you won’t regret it worth every penny.
