I tried the jackfruit wrap and omg it was amazing! It is so flavorful, a little bit salty, but I’ll take that over bland food any day!! And the sweet potato fries were heaven the crunch was divine. I’m mad I didnt get an order of those by itself before I drove back up to palm beach but overall a MUST TRY!

I ordered the chicken dinner with Mac n cheese, and candied yams. In the notes i asked if they could leave out the pepper in the candied yams, I’m assuming they couldn’t so they changed my side to the collard greens instead.
I’ve already tried the collard greens twice in the past and they’re ok more on the vinegar ish side.
I can go without for my preference.
Getting to the point. I’ve had the Mac n cheese twice before. The first time i hated it, a year later ordered it (which was two weeks ago and loved it) the first time I had it, I just didn’t appeal to the garlic heavy seasoning or whatever seasoning they add to it.
The second time, it didn’t have that seasoning, and if it did; it was so mild that it wasn’t overpowering. I absolutely hate the seasoning. Abd I can tell that the Mac n cheese is really good but the seasoning is too overpowering and not to my liking.
The fried mushrooms were fried to perfection especially this time. Twice in the past, a very few of the batter on the mushrooms were soggy (not fully cooked/crisped)
Perhaps there’s two different chefs as to why it may not be consistent in taste.

Where to begin!!!!! The food was AMAZING. The cashier was very polite and knew the items on the menu very well. It is not a “dine-in” restaurant they have 2 tables in there. However, we did dine in. I ordered shrimp tacos, and my date had a vegan southern crispy sandwich with vegan bacon and sweet potato fries. We ate all we could and what didn’t get eaten. We took home and ordered a portion to go lol!! Look, go here!!! They are a vegan restaurant!!! Just in case you needed one last shout!!! We will return and recommend anyone to try!!!

I always order on doordash because the location is a little too far from me and it doesn’t seem like the type of place I’d want to sit down in (personally not a fan of food places that’s basically just a counter and chairs). Besides that the food is godlike. I’m not a big eater but the portions are hearty and heavy and I’ve absolutely engorged every order. It always arrives nice and warm too. The beans are spiced and sweet, tender flavorful macaroni and the vegan chicken is smokey, sweet, and crispy. Absolutely love it every time and would highly recommend.

Been too this restaurant more then a dozen times. Was going to this spot every time we came to Florida. Went there this past October & November 2025 in the women that was in there was extremely rude, she didn’t say anything at first when she came from the back of the restaurant she just pushed the swinging doors open and said pick up and we said no. So she went back to back where she was preparing orders on making food I don’t know but her attitude did not change when she came back up to the front when we were ready to place our orders. It was so bad that my wife didn’t even want to order anything so she just sat there and watch me eat and she told me when we walked out that we are never going back to that restaurant again as long as we come too Florida. There are other vegan restaurants in the Fort Lauderdale area in that’s where we will be heading. In to make it clear they use to have a young lady working the counter, young lady if you read this please come back because they need you there maybe you can teach them some good hospitality.

Mm, mm, mm! Placed a pick up order of Spinach wrap, fries, tacos, and sweet plantains. My, my, my! I literally had to pull over the side of the road after the first bite of the spinach wrap… I needed to enjoy every single bite. Yum! Full of flavor and wrapped nicely. 10 out of 10. The fries were crispy. Full of flavor as well. Tacos were delicious and filling! Sweet plantains were divine! My new go-to spot when I am in Broward County, FL.

Rootz is such a cute place with great food and wonderful folks. I highly recommend the food and it’s a great choice for lunch or takeout. We had the fries, tacos, burgers, and salmon and were super pleased with our meal. We were here from Miami, and we’re going to stop by wherever we’re in the area. I ordered the Jerk burger with regular fries, and it was all delicious! The fries were fresh and perfectly crispy, and the burger was flavorful and balanced (lightly spicy, little sweet, and savory). Will definitely be coming back

Been wanted to try this place a while now and finally did I’m writing my review as I’m eating. I got the oyster mushroom burger and sweet potato tries. 20 out of 10. Price is great, quantity is great and taste is great. Definitely will be try almost everything on this menu!!!!!!

Our meals were prepared as we waited and I made a remark how she sounded like the “iron chef” back there as we waited order… So worth the wait and more!
