I have traveled all over the lower 48 and Alaska and this is a hidden gem. The prices are more reasonable than many places in Anchorage and the surrounding area. The location is convenient with lots of parking. The dining/seating area is comfortable and the lighting makes it feel somewhat private. I got the big poppa burger for 18:00 with all the fixings and a side of fries. The best part of the experience for me was the Cajun seasoning. Most places think cayenne pepper means Cajun but they lack flavor. This was the perfect combination of flavor and heat. The burger was juicy and cooked to perfection. The fries were like fries we made at home in the it’s and 90’s. I will definitely be back and I highly recommend it to anyone who appreciates the above mentioned perks. This is one of two locations so it isn’t that chain environment it’s much more welcoming. Give them a try and I promise you won’t be disappointed.

Enjoyed what I got.. the Spenard. Asked for crispy fries and they delivered. Young-ish counter people that don’t seem to understand some common kitchen/order terms. Not a huge deal. When you explain they get it. I would not recommend you rely on the QR code menu. It still had the previous week’s special on it but they let me pay for my order and then told me I couldn’t have it because it was Last Weeks special. Maybe they are still working the bugs out.

Fries were just right with crispy outside texture and soft interior.
Burger was extremely delicious with just enough spice. I generally enjoy very spicy. But this should be good for the masses. Just look at the pictures for the ingredients. Wow I enjoyed it for sure!

What a gem!! Hubby had the Hello Burger and I had the Mushroom Philly! Both were amazing! We both got their onion rings which were spectacular!!! Filled us up! Very reasonably priced!! Definitely will be back!

BEST BURGERS IN TOWN! 🙂 Today I had a “spenard burger”, plain. It comes with an egg and green onions. it was AMAZING!! Food was FAST & Server was so sweet she brought our order out to our truck!

Haven’t been to Tommy’s in a while. Prices were high, but for a good burger I’ll spend it. Lunch for 2 came out to $50. The bottom bun on both burgers was dry and hard (seemed a couple days old). Fries were like warm and “Cajun” is a bold title for what I got. I understand that kitchens have off days, but for $50 I’m not willing to risk another bad meal. Sad to see and sorry to anyone who I recommended this place to. It seems they have lost their touch.

The burgers were amazing! I had the RLE Hello Burger and even though it was pretty massive, I probably could’ve eaten another! The fries were ok. They could’ve used more seasoning. The onion rings were great! Wish I’d gotten 2 orders of those lol. I’m visiting from Kansas and I’m planning on making another trip in before heading back home.

Should have listened to the 1-star reviews, but I wanted to give this location a chance. Burgers were overcooked, dry, and cheese fries were soggy. I asked for extra-cheese on my bacon cheeseburger and there was barely even the normal amount w/ barely a smidge of mayo spent $50 for the whole meal, and it was below average.
I will say that staff is friendly, the art is cool, and restaurant is clean, but won’t go back for the food at this location.

If I could give more than five stars, I would! This little neighborhood burger spot is so much more than just great food. It’s a reflection of the heart behind it. The owner pours compassion into everything she does, not only serving up some of the best burgers you’ll ever taste but also giving so much back to the community. Every time I’m in there the owner checks to make sure our food came out correctly and we are satisfied. I often see her taking care of the less fortunate and offering them a warm meal or a simple glass of water. I will forever be a supporter.
