We came here for a romantic early dinner and loved the candlelit, intimate vibe. It definitely sets the mood for a nice date night. We were seated quickly, and our server was very attentive. He gave us great recommendations

For drinks: I had the Tipsy Pink Flamingo Martini and my partner ordered the Mango Margarita. Both were delicious.

We started with the seafood tower with lobster and California Dungeness crab claws. The presentation was beautiful, and everything tasted fresh and flavorful. For dinner, we had the lobster mashed potatoes and the Porterhouse steak. The steak was thick, juicy, and cooked perfectly.

The food was amazing, but it did take about 30–40 minutes for the steak to come out since it was a busy Saturday evening. Still, the quality made it worth the wait.

We really enjoyed our night and plan to return — just maybe on a less busy evening.

Valet is $10 per hour. We ended up paying $30 for parking.

Our favorite tradition now when in OC area with our kids when traveling! They are so accommodating even if we are in the more casual side and let us sit at a high top on the bar! Best dirty martini, bread, sides and of course steaks! The staff is so welcoming!!

This is the second time I’ve visited Maestro’s at this location. The first time was approximately 20 years ago. I expected the upscale service that.was delivered but the food was far below expectations, especially the 33oz ribeye that was flavorless except for the butter on the plate. The tuna tartare was bland with much too large a portion. The bread basket is an extra charge and even the celebratory chocolate cake had a charge added to the bill?! Overall there are much better fine dining restaurants that you can enjoy in OC, no need to waste time or money here…

All I can say is: GO! It’s the best food, service and atmosphere you’ll ever experience! Only a slight exaggeration because I haven’t been everywhere.

To be more specific, I had the petite filet. So tender, juicy and flavorful. That alone is worth the trip. The table had the shared sides of asparagus, brussel sprouts, and macaroni and cheese that was amazing! We finished with the chocolate cake for the birthday boy, and cherry crisp that everyone raved about.
I indulged in a lemon drop martini that was touted as being a specialty. They weren’t kidding. Just the right amount of sweet and sour, with dry ice to add to the indulgence.

I can’t thank Darren enough for making sure that my evening was spectacular. The Pianist that they had their Thanksgiving day was lovely. The calamari the best I’ve had ever, the Caesar salad with sriracha and horseradish yum and then I have the Cherry crisp

11/4 lb live Maine lobster described on menu ‍♀️

A 1 1/4 lb (0.57 kg) Maine lobster is equivalent to approximately 568 grams to 676 grams.

i have in my order maximum 70 grams lobster i swear !!!

This wasn’t our first time at this restaurant. For that kind of money, $57 plus taxes, a total of $60 for a dish of mash potatoes with lobster. The lobster had a piece of claw and a few chopped pieces of tail. We ordered takeout and I left a comment asking for lobster like the photo you show people on the menu. We just laughed for half the evening because there was 10 times less lobster than in the photo. Aren’t you ashamed? We’ve been to your restaurant many times before. And couple times i complained about that order and your manager bring the pieces from lobster and said sorry! There are many delicious dishes, our order was 420$ but potatoes with lobster are simply a disgrace to your restaurant! And you even raised the price for this dish… SHAME!!!!

Had a beautiful dinner at Mastros Costa Mesa, the environment was really nice and the live music in the lounge was a great touch. The food was delicious, every dish. I particular enjoyed the express martini, it came in a Shaker and I felt like the drink never ended! Would definitely recommend Mastros Costa Mesa.

Super crowded. Had to wait 20-30 mins for table to be ready. Lots of people crowding the hallways also waiting for their tables. Holiday crush? Table service was excellent, bar service was almost non-existant sitting at the actual bar. Finally ordered but didn’t get drinks until seated. Entrees were very good, not great. We had a vegetarian at our table (poor guy) and made that clear to the server. They asked if onion soup was vegetarian (cheese topping aside) and was told yes, only to be told after starting to eat that it wasn’t. Not cool. Steak temps were off for others (under temp) but couldn’t get staff over to table to fix, so made do. Some side dishes excellent, some mediocre despite tasty menu descriptions. Both Mac & Cheeses were excellent. Spinach, Mashed and baked potatoes also very good. Truffle Gnocchi not very flavorful and cold despite melted cheese on top. Pet Peeve: don’t list a “Seafood Tower” on the menu then simply stack a bunch of ala cart items together to make it. Provide a standard selection and price to save 10 minutes of discussion on what to order. Seasonal butter cake very good but VERY sweet. Chocolate Sin cake was better. Overall rate experience a 4 but expected a 5 across the board – it wasn’t.

This is a well-known upscale restaurant, and while the experience had its highlights, it fell slightly short of expectations. We arrived quite late in the evening, so the restaurant wasn’t very busy. Thanks for e a reservation, we were seated promptly, but it took a surprisingly long time for a server to come and take our order.

For starters, we tried the Bone Marrow, which was rich and flavorful, though not particularly memorable. The salad was fresh and well-prepared. For the main course, we ordered the Filet Mignon and Scallops. The Filet Mignon was cooked to perfection, tender and juicy, while the scallops were decent but lacked the wow factor I was hoping for. As for the side dishes, the Brussels Sprouts were nicely roasted, and the Lobster Mashed Potatoes were creamy with a hint of luxury from the lobster, though neither stood out as exceptional.
