We ordered veg noodles and could see schezwan chutney unevenly mixed.
No water was served till asked and their glass bottles being used are unhygienic, you can see water spots.
Overall Impressions
Mixed but generally positive review
• Many of my visits rate the restaurant fairly high overall with good food and a broad menu that mixes Indian classics with fusion items like Indian-style pizzas.
• On food delivery platforms, it has solid ratings and positive customer feed back and repeated customers (many reviews), especially for overall food quality and consistency.
Indian-Style Pizza Highlights
What people like me love
• Several people including myself specifically call out something like “chicken tikka pizza” or “chilli paneer pizza” as tasty and flavorful, with quality crust and toppings that work well with Indian flavors.
• Fans of Indian fusion appreciate that this pizza brings a creative twist compared to standard pizzas — blending classic Indian ingredients over a crispy base.
Common praise
• The pizza options are regarded as a unique and fun choice among the extensive Indian menu.
• Some locals and loyal customers mention ordering these pizzas repeatedly because they enjoy the blend of Indian spices and pizza style.
Food & Menu Overall
Positives
• Variety: Diners enjoy the range — from traditional North Indian style dishes (curries, biryani, dosas) to Indo-Chinese and fusion pizza.
• Flavor: we praise the bold and satisfying flavors, especially in items like chilli paneer or chicken tikka.
Mixed/Negative notes
• Some of my visits point out service inconsistencies — like rushed or inattentive staff.
• A few people feel prices may be a bit high for portion size.
️ Ambience & Service
• Atmosphere is usually described as casual and informal, good for family dinners or quick bites.
• worth to mention it can get busy (parking and space issues) given its popularity on Oak Tree Road.
Bottom line:
If you’re into Indian cuisine with creative fusion twists (like Indian-style pizzas), Moghul Express is a popular local choice with many fans of the flavor combo. Expect bold tastes and variety, but be prepared for mixed service experiences and occasional inconsistency — which is common in well-loved neighborhood spots.
Service is terrible. We chose a spot.
Ordered and chaat , Hakka noodles and mix grill. Mix grill takes 25 minutes.
Chaat was ok. Hakka noodles was pretty decent. Mix grill was decent too. It was hot from tandoori.
Not much customers and music was interesting. You would think at an Indian restaurant, they would be playing Indian music but they were playing light rap lol.
Am not coming here again.
Used the bathroom and saw an interesting sign. See pics .
The food is good, but it’s not worth dealing with the poor service and high charges. There are definitely better options in the area. The management should look into matter or else I am sure with so many better options available you guys are gonna run out of business.
Now for the food. Vegetables in the noodles were not even properly cooked and no spices. The soup was extremely below average. As for veggies in the soup, there were may be 3 spring onions and rest was just chopped up cabbage.
Simple table water wasn’t served until asked and was treated as an inconvenience too.
Place is absolutely terrible. Highly recommend trying Chowpatty restaurant down the road instead. This place is horrible.
Food is really good. Yumm.
Service was not bad.
Tandoori Soya chaap – found reviews praising it and was really nice.
Navratna Korma as it was as first dishin menu and turned out to be creamy and good. Its expected to be on a little sweeter side. I think was perfect.
Garlic naans were nice and perfect.
Desserts: Menu doesn’t have all options. Ask staff and they will guide you to display.
– falooda was good.
– rasmalai tresleche was okayish. Found very sweet.
Afternoon/Lunch can be a bad experience on a sunny day if you sit on a wrong table.
Suggestion: water is served only when requested. Should be default on table.
No mouth freshner.
Overall nice and will return for sure.
Food is good
Serving spoiled food like this is not just careless, it’s a serious health hazard. Clearly, your kitchen and storage standards need urgent inspection. I can’t believe a restaurant would allow something like this to reach a customer.
Until you take accountability and fix these food safety issues, I’ll be warning others to avoid ordering from here. This was absolutely unacceptable and disgusting.
