On our road trip in the U.P. we looked for a local lunch spot. We weren’t disappointed without choice the Iron Bay Restaurant.
Greeted like we were locals, it just got better from there! Maggie was our server, a young woman who really seemed to love her job! Her descriptions were right on, the food delicious, we started with the smoked whitefish dip, multi seasoned crackers and pickled watermelon rind. Deb had the whitefish and chips, I had the whitefish tacos. Both came with a crunchy fries, really good. Great portions, to full for dessert!
This place is close to the water and I highly recommend!

Food is good and super cool atmosphere with the brick work in the building! Be aware, there is a 4% “Transparency Fee” that’s not super transparent listed in a smaller print at the bottom of the menu. Doesn’t really make a ton of sense, we just tipped the waitstaff 4% less then since they’re already getting it added

Food was excellent! Sarah was a fantastic waitress—attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. The fish tots were bursting with flavor, the smash burger was spot-on, and the fish & chips were outstanding. Highly recommend!

Really enjoyed my experience here at Iron Bay Restaurant. I was here early and was lucky enough to be able to sit outside. Service and food were both excellent. I had the Foundry Burger. I was also happy that they were open on Sunday, as a few other places I wanted to try were not. Would highly recommend if in the Marquette area.

Yes the prices are on the more expensive side but we’ve never been disappointed. Everything we have tried is phenomenal. There isn’t one dish I wouldn’t recommend. The staff is so very friendly. The fact they partner with local farms is the icing on the cake. And you truly can taste the freshness. Every time we go to Marquette we stop here. If I could give ten stars I would.

A great spot on the edge of town, Marquette , with a nice relaxing view of the bay from the patio. The food is good, there is a nice selection of items for lunch and dinner. I like the vegetarian options like the veggie tacos, they are thoughtful chef-created and delicious.
Cocktails are professional, nice beer and wine offerings. The servers are young and friendly, and well-trained. Seating options include dining room, bar area, and patio. The Iron Bay Restaurant has become a favorite.

Had lunch her during my Explore Marquette Day adventure and was served by Courtney. She was AMAZING! The food here is Delicious and the service is Outstanding. Went here for dinner on a Friday night. It was was not busy and our food came out quick but when the chicken sandwich was opened the bun was burnt. I would even say burnt is an understatement and when we informed our waitress she did not take our plate back but came with a new bun that she stated was “much better” but when opened the bun was practically barely toasted but in a couple spots was burnt yet again. Overall the menu was unbelievably small and didn’t give many choices and for the price did disappoint.
