I surprised my husband with dinner here a few nights ago- I wanted to try something different! We are both foodies and especially enjoy international foods. We ordered many different things including the chicken and beef empanadas and plantains for appetizers. They were both delicious. I especially enjoyed the rice and gandules (rice and peas)- it was sooo good! Also- it’s so cute inside of there! We were however disappointed to find out after being seated and choosing our meals that there were no cocktails available. I had especially planned on having my favorite, a pina colada, that night. A bummer! I’d be willing to give them another chance- hopefully next time we can top our meals off with cocktails!

We had Tostones platter with chicken and Chaufan Platter and Shrimp. The Asian-Dominican rice was yummy and unique especially for a person who doesn’t usually like rice. The fresh pico de Gallo salad was a nice addition. The grilled chicken on the tostones platter had bell peppers and onions and was very flavorful. We had an enjoyable and unique experience for being in Milwaukee, sitting under a hurricane and cocnuts. Enjoyed the Caribbean videos on the TVs, too.

Absolutely fantastic first time here local place for us. The portions were humongous definitely had to take some home. The flavor in the Caribbean cuisine was out of this world We definitely back. Great value for the money.

Small restaurant but packed with bold caribbean flavors. Great place to try speciality meal favorites or just explore something new. Good set of appetizers, great menu with lots of options. A surprise they have for everyone dining in is a small bowl of soup. Different soup flavors everytime I’ve been here and never disappointed. No desserts available but they do have “frappe” for someone with the “sweet tooth” (they are pretty much frozen drinks or better known as smoothies.

I’ve tried steak, fried pork with mofongo (mashed plantains). Tostones (double fried plantains) are pretty good and even tasted mangú (boiled plantains with seasoning) too. These are all plantains based compliments but each have it’s uniqueness. Accessible prices and they do have lunch specials. Stop by and try it out.

We walk out of here absolutely stuffed each time. There’s no holding back… you come here to indulge! Lots of fun neon including a metal, sculpted neon palm tree sitting in the middle of the dining room. Their drinks are delicious but their food is off the chain. The fried chicharrones are heavenly delicious! Great place to take your family or out to dinner with friends. I recommend the fried pork chop or the Mangu de Golpes.

Ordered from DoorDash. The parcha was perfect like they made it fresh. The chicharron was good too. The arroz had good flavor but a little over cooked like they put too much water. The jibarito was disappointing 🙁 the steak had no flavor, a lot of fat, chewy like rubber. 7/10.
