CASSOULET ET CIE – CHEZ MARTY – Castelnaudary tourisme
Reviews
The portions are extremely generous, everything is homemade, and prepared with fresh, carefully selected, mostly local ingredients. From an RSE (sustainability and responsibility) perspective, this place truly sets an example.
The restaurant has a spacious indoor dining room, a lovely shaded terrace with a few tables, and a private parking area with no height restriction, which is very convenient.
The value for money is simply unbeatable—quality and quantity are both outstanding. It is highly recommended to book a table for lunch or dinner, especially on Saturdays.
In short, Chez Marty is an authentic culinary experience not to be missed ‼️
This was the best cassoulet I have eaten and I have tried a lot for them..! The foie gras and dessert was also fantastic.
Service was also great – highly recommended for a fantastic experience!
Great selection of drinks and the wine. The one we had was very good. The food was very good and tasty. We had the famous casserole with duck that was delicious and very big, they can eat 2 people easily and a duck confit with vegetables and chips. No room for a dessert, next time! Plenty of room to park.
well worth travelling to, booking essential !!!
100 % would go again

THEN, they’ll tell you can eat here but you can only order the most expensive dish on the menu with limited dessert options.
While you’re waiting they might give you salad for comfort, but when your “steak” arrives, it will come out in different shades of raw or overcooked, or it may come out as something completely different, which isn’t “steak”, but they will still try to convince you it’s worth charging €20 because “steaks come out in different ways depending on the cut”.
It’s a sad joke to call yourself a restaurant and treat people like complete trash. Around an hour after we arrived a group of 13 people walked in and were more kindly given a table. They will most likely eat better than we did because they speak French.
Don’t expect much if you’re a bigger group, but also don’t believe this a good restaurant because you’re a group of 2-3, they’re the same restaurant.
Service is fair enough.
I suggest you order in advance and eat at home. So there’s no need to wait and you still can enjoy the one of the best cassoulet.
The chef Mr. Marty is so kind and humble
I order often and always very satisfied.
There’s a really nice video about the chef, his meticulous preparation and this place on instagram.
