So as I ordered inside, ran outside to grab my phone, came back to the door and they wouldn’t let me back in. Now I have to wait behind 6 cars in drive thru, thanks. Google says, closes at 10, locked door at 855. Really appreciate it.

This location seems to be a bit more expensive than the other locations but the Triple Cheese Burgers and Fries are a treat to reward yourself. OMG…. Best Burgers in town. Fresh! Juicy! Perfect Temperature! Definitely worth going back. Great staff and management. Plenty of seating and a nice environment to sit down and enjoy a meal.

Been in town since December. Have heard so much about krekel’s. This is now my third time trying. Firstly the shake is delicious. Really well done. The burger, meh. Like a bad version of steak and shake, or Freddy’s. It’s not horrible but nothing spectacular that would cause all the buzz around this place. Krinkle cut fries are Krinkle cut fries. Nothing special. No seasoning on the burger nor the fries. The bad: the chili cheese fries. I mean disgusting. Nasty tasting chili. Bone fragments in the chili. Cheese sauce could have just as well not been on there whatsoever. Now, when you drown fries in watery hot chili, and then wrap in a foil tent, it causes steam… So I got soup. Very bad soup. The person on the drive thru mic was muffled badly. Indistinguishable. Asked to repeat multiple times, and then was just ignored.. The other locations were not like this. Only the Oakland site. So for me that’s the last krekel’s experience. Too many other good places to continue to try.

Received my hot foot in a decently time then proceeded to wait for an additional 15 mins for 3 shakes. No apologies or updates as to why it took over 20 minutes of me sitting in front of the window after paying. They need more than just high school students who don’t give a damn working inside. Slowest fast food location I’ve ever been to.

Krekel’s has one of the best smashburgers that I have ever had. I have never had anything but amazing food and service from the Decatur location. The flavor the burger is so good that I get my plain with no cheese or condiments. They use a great seasoning mixture and cook it to perfection with the edges being crispy and it still stays juicy. I highly recommend pairing it with one of the custard malts and you have the perfect indulgence meal. The staff is always so upbeat and polite. It is one of my favorite hamburger spots of all time.
