As a huge fan of Seattle teriyaki shops, I’ve been looking forward to trying this place for awhile. Tonight was finally the night!
The pros:
The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, the onion beef teriyaki was delicious, and the chicken teriyaki had a nice char taste to it (the beef is better though!). Portion sizes are large (although was mostly rice under the first layer of topping). The “spicy” sauce made with Carolina reapers was delicious, and you can order your teriyaki regular and get the spicy sauce on the side to customize your heat profile.
The cons:
Not a whole lot of options for vegetarians. The one vegetarian dish they had (mixed vegetable teriyaki) was severely undercooked and undersauced. The veggies were all pretty much raw. It was very disappointing. We ended up bringing the whole dish home to actually cook it ourselves and add more sauce to it.
The bottom line for this place is if you eat steak and chicken, you’ll have a good time. If you’re vegan or vegetarian, I would skip it entirely until they can either figure out how to properly cook vegetables or they add another meatless option to their menu.
I also personally missed the macaroni salad that you typically get with a platter at a Seattle teriyaki spot. Give us the mac!!

Ordered DoorDash delivery a few weeks ago expecting to get a good portion for the price and made my purchasing based on the photos on DoorDash.
When it arrived, I got a dainty bowl that barely had anything and it made me wonder if they accidentally gave me a small order when I ordered a large, but after speaking with coworkers I was told that’s just the portions.
If you’re gonna charge $20+ for food especially on delivery, I expect to receive $20+ worth of food.
The chicken teriyaki was also burnt and extremely dry. Everything was so plain and very under seasoned.
Do not waste your time ordering here if you care about flavor or seasonings. This was the most plain chicken teriyaki I’ve experienced in my life

Wow! I work for the airlines and I’m always looking for “my place”. This food is great. Homemade teriyaki sauce. I loved the hot version of the sause… not sticky and sweet! I got the teriyaki over veggies and it was soooo good! I’ll be back! The large is huge!

This place is truly amazing! Authentic sauces, big portions, good prices. It really deserves it’s own home, but Stocks will do for cheap drinks. If you haven’t tried it, give them a shot.

I like Dobi’s Teriyaki a lot, I go at least twice a month recently, always delicious and satisfying, very hearty portions.
However, last week on Friday I got my usual- the Combo with added veggies, but the pea pods were undercooked and the ends weren’t trimmed. They were mostly inedible and made the meal unpleasant and more difficult to eat. It’s especially frustrating since I had to pay extra for them. Everything else was delicious as usual though.

We were passing through Missoula and wanted somewhere casual and affordable to eat. This place was such good value for money. I went for the medium combo, and it was very generous portion, the meat was incredibly tasty with a great charcoal taste. The service was great; so welcoming and friendly. Highly recommend.

Im not from here. Im a truck driver from Delaware. I was hesitant of getting the small because I didnt think it would be enough but it was. They loaded the meat in there. The meat was cooked perfectly. The best teriyaki Ive had and I travel the world. I only didnt give 5 stars because I didnt sit in to really catch the full experience. But food and service was great.

Great place for a fast lunch! Get the beef/chicken combo. The small was plenty of food – they piled it high! The employee working was also extremely friendly and gave good recommendations about what else to eat in Missoula. 10/10
