Walked in when it was practically empty, and was seated pretty quickly. Drink orders were taken, then a large group showed up. Things got busy over on that side, which I understand. Food took a while to come out, and was only just decent. The fries were really good and crispy though, I will say that.
My real issue here is the service. I should have known when a second drink was brought out before i’d taken more than a few sips of the first that things would be going downhill.
Our server just…. disappeared.
We were here around 1 hr and 20 minutes, and only 30-40 was actually spent eating. We finished our food and were sat waiting and waiting just to get our bill. Other workers made eye contact a few times as we were searching around for anyone, but apparently not their problem.
Finally we got up and paced around the front bar hoping we could catch anyone in back willing to help. A different server ran by and gave us a “they’ll be out in a few minutes!”
Only to still be left waiting. 40+ minutes total wasted at our table and up front.
It took two singular minutes (if that) to pay once we actually had the bill. Priorities!
If you’re going to be a business, you should probably be ready to take my money! I could have left without paying and it would have been entirely on yall. Oh boy was that tempting! Still left a tip, regretfully.
Needless to say, won’t be back.
What was great: the prices, the freshness of the shrimp we ordered, the great cocktail sauce, the large portions of food we received, the eager-to-please sweetness of our inexperienced server; and the many large screen televisions playing something interesting for everyone.
What was disappointing: The lack of a greeting from the hostess (not only did she not smile, she raised her brows and chin and said “This way,”); the time it took for a server to approach our table (11 minutes after being seated, during which time we looked around and couldn’t tell who was managing the servers—-we’ve both worked in the restaurant industry); the halfhearted attitude of the prep staff or cooks who put a rotten tomato on my salad (our server corrected that by bringing me a bowl of cherry tomatoes).
Hopefully they’ll be better, if we return.
Vanessa was our server and she was amazing. Smart, friendly, and attentive.
The atmosphere is sports bar/restaurant. They had a lot of TV’s with Match Madness on. They also have an outdoor patio which is always a welcomed attribute for me
Highly recommend this restaurant!
Update, went back, food was still fine, management is poor in my opinion, forgot things in my order again and I called and they don’t take responsibility for errors they make with orders. Understandable from front line with turn over but this is directly management.
