A nice improvement to a long-standing iconic place near St Thomas. The inside redone in upscale midline atmosphere. Wood benches and padded chairs. New tables. Clean and nice hardwood floors.
Food is excellent with careful and tasty culinary treatment at affordable price. The chef obviously is accomplished and gives added tweaks to the dishes to raise them above average. Table service is upscale mid-weight china and solid flatware.
Menu is nicely selected with new rotating specials weekly all presented in a pleasing manner. Breakfast, Lunch anf Dinner all tssty with care in plating and appearance.
Wait staff is pleasant, efficient, and learning the options well! I knew one of the servers from another place and she says the workplace is good, And I believe her A happy staff was evident.
Oak Forest is a great newcomer in a venerable location and worth the visit, with many happy retutns!

I give most places 3 chances before I review them, unless they’re super good or really bad… dinner here wasn’t the best… but I gave them another chance (and different cook) and had breakfast and it was top-notch! The server Kristin and the 2 male cooks were absolutely amazing! We definitely will be back ♡♡♡ I highly recommend their breakfast!

we tried the restaurant twice. The first time we was seated immediately, but it took him 25 minutes to come back and take our order. Then it took him 10 minutes to come back and give us our drink. We got no silverware. I asked for ketchup twice and never did get it. One person in our party ordered the cheeseburger mushroom melt when it came. All it was a hamburger with mushrooms and a slice of cheese no sauce sauces. They brought our check back. We paid her bill and left the second time we waited 20 minutes to get seated once we’re seated the lady come over said they were short staffed. She would be right back 15 minutes later she came back took her order then another lady come over and ask us what we wanted to drink. We ordered our drinks and they never brought them. They brought our food out, but they didn’t give us any ketchup. I ask for ketchup for my fries. I never did get it. The soup was really spicy. I couldn’t eat it. The first time I got, it was really good our first visit. But the lid must’ve fell off the pepper because that was very spicy. They never brought our drinks till we were done eating. We couldn’t even stop somebody to ask them about her drinks. They were all moving so fast. They didn’t even look at us. When they finally brought them out They brought them over and set them down. Then another lady brought over two more and set them down and she started laughing. She said oh I see they brought your drinks. I was very polite at that point. I asked her if we could just get them to go. Then she sat down on the side of the table and apologized to us. She said they were very shortstaffed. It was very busy and crowded both times. I gave them a two because the people are very friendly when they stopped moving long enough to talk and by them moving. They were working. There were just too many customers for the amount of employees.

The pork chops with applebutter are delicious!! Service, atmosphere and food are great. Great place to stop in by yourself or bring friends and family. Affordable and delicious!! Definitely give them a try!

I’ve been happy to see it back in business in Saint Thomas Pennsylvania ever since they were gone for 8 years i believe it was going to be back at Saint Thomas Pennsylvania near my mom’s house but it was finally back I was glad to Go back and get there food and drinks with them and got breakfast there
