TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

We were craving something hot, so we decided to try Dave’s Hot Chicken and it turned out to be the best decision! The chicken was perfectly crispy on the outside and incredibly juicy on the inside. We truly enjoyed our meal, and the employees were super nice as well. We’ll definitely be regular customers!

About that food…
I am always chasing after spicy foods. If im not sweating and able to finish my spicy food with ease, it’s not spicy enough. I must say I was very impressed with that reaper here.
Usually I am disappointed that spicy is not spicy enough but at this place it hit a bulls eye. When I was told I had to sign a waver I knew something over here is going the proper direction.
I ordered a slider and a tender with Fries on that reaper spice level. IT WAS REAPER ALRIGHT!
I’m not new to reaper pepper. I like to throw some reaper sauce on my food and eat it to the last bite. At this place I was only able finish just the slider but when I glanced at that tender I didn’t find enough courage nor strength to take a bite of that thing. Them double thoughts came in and I decided to keep it safe.
– Fries are phenomenal
– Kale Slaw in that slider hits the spot
– Spice is on point
– Pickles are delicious
– Potato slider bun is a win
– That extra bread is a bonus to top it all off
I for sure will be back here and will pass it on to my spice loving friends to challenge them selves at this place

First-Timer’s Delight!
We had a great first visit to the Dave’s Hot Chicken in Clackamas! The food was juicy, perfectly crispy, and the spice level was good. (I went for Medium Lite and it had a good kick).
More than the food, though, we were incredibly impressed with the service. Gia was so welcoming and friendly. When she realized it was our first time, she took the time to walk us through the menu and even gave us a great recommendation. She made us feel right at home!

The food is pretty good. It is very expensive though, these tiny little sandwiches were like $9 for two, the slightly bigger one was like $18 for a meal, also they didnt give napkins, and the to go bags are abominable for the environment, which I really dislike. Also they have options that are not spicy, if you are worried about that.

We are from New Mexico and don’t have a Dave’s Hot Chicken but have heard great things. Right from the start, the amazing smell upon entering the building was a good sign. We were helped by Kingston and his service was excellent! Very kind and knows what he’s doing and gave great recommendations with a smile. The food was DELICIOUS and fresh. Like Hot or of the fryer fresh. The fries and the chicken were so good, and the pickles are addictive. All in all I’m super sad we don’t have this in my hometown yet, but I have heard rumors that we may get one eventually. I hope when we do, we have experiences like this one often 🙂

wow terry and ashley are just the sweetest!! they made our first dave’s hot chicken experience amazing! they were both very kind and quick to answer all questions and give great recommendations. the food was delicious and while we ate, terry was making sure the dining area was all clean. great service and great food 🙂

The chicken sliders are delicious. Been here many times and the quality is very consistent. Customer service is great too, was helped by Gia today. She was very friendly and made sure I got everything I ordered. Sometimes it can get very busy and crowded and it is hard to find a place to sit and eat inside.

First time dining at Dave’s Hot Chicken. The place was filled with customers on the day of our visit. There were lots of kids and teenagers. The interior was bouncing with noise. It was fine because it must mean their food is good 🙂
We ordered Dave’s combo #3 which came with 1 tender, 1 sandwich, fries and a piece of bread. My husband and I don’t normally eat much so this combo was just right for us.
You can order different spice level for each piece of chicken. We ordered Hot for the sandwich and medium for the tender. Hot is spicy but it is really not super spicy. In fact, it is more salty than spicy. I think I can definitely get the spice level one notch up but I don’t think my husband can handle it.
We suspect that they marinate their chicken pieces in brine. This may explain why the chicken is very salty. However the chicken was very moist. The Hot piece felt like it was even saltier than the medium spice level. Not that it was not good but it definitely helps to eat the chicken with bread!
Their fries are crinkle style and was fried to perfection. It was seasoned well. I like it just the way it was prepared. The service was good. We will definitely go back again.
