Authentic decor and even more authentic food. Floor seating and table seating available. The staff was very respectful and helpful. The food was amazing. This is a no brainer. You can’t go wrong ordering any of their plates. To top it all off they make authentic in house ice cream and offer free tea. A hidden gem!
The food was absolutely outstanding. The Kabob Tikka was perfectly seasoned, tender, and grilled to perfection. The Qaboli was equally delicious—rich in flavor, beautifully prepared, and truly authentic. I can honestly say I have not tasted kabob this delicious since moving from Kabul. The flavors brought back wonderful memories of home.
Kunduz Kabob continues to set a high standard for quality and service. Najib jan is an incredible asset to the restaurant and truly represents excellence in management and customer care. His dedication and professionalism make a lasting impression, and he is undoubtedly one of the best candidates for leadership within the management team.
Keep up the excellent work—this restaurant is a true gem, and I look forward to returning soon.
The Qabili Palaw was absolutely delicious and had the genuine, traditional Uzbek-Afghan flavor that I grew up with. The taste was authentic, rich, and perfectly prepared—exactly how real Afghan Qabili should be.
I highly recommend this place to anyone who truly wants to experience authentic Afghan cuisine. It is also a wonderful choice for those who want to relive the memories and flavors of Uzbek-style Qabili Palaw from Afghanistan.
In addition to the amazing food, the service was excellent—very professional, welcoming, and attentive. Overall, a great dining experience that I will definitely return to.

Food wise Soup, Bolani, Chapli Kebab, Kabuli Pulao with meat, kebabs, lamb chops and Ice Cream was a hit.
Mantoo was a miss and I have had better at another Afgan Restaurant.
Had traditional and usual table and chair seating, interior looks little dated. Overall a good experience.
The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the service was flawless.
If you’re looking for a genuine Afghan dining experience, I highly recommend this place. It’s not just a meal — it’s a delicious journey into the heart of Afghan culture.
The amount of items on the menu made it easy for me to make a decision. It’s not huge like other restaurants so I don’t feel overwhelmed. I ordered the chicken handi. It came with an appetizer soup that reminded me of chicken noodle soup but WAY more flavorful. It was super delicious. The chicken handi was soo delicious. It was creamy, the chicken was so tender, the flavor was great. Before I left, the sever mentioned the handmade sheryakh (afghani ice cream) which I had been eyeing. It did not disappoint. It was light a refreshing after a denser meal.
The service when we first sat down was a bit slow, but they seemed quite busy at 330 which is the time we arrived.
Overall I highly recommend this place and have been speaking about it to my friends and clients.
