Very disappointing experience at Red Robin last night.
Our gymnastics team has a long-standing tradition of going to Red Robin after competitions, and we have visited this location in the past without any issues accommodating a larger group later in the evening. We arrived around 9:10 PM and were told we could not be seated because the restaurant closes at 10:00 PM. While we understand that seating a large group close to closing time can be inconvenient, the situation was handled very poorly.
First we were told there was not enough room for our group, then we were told there was not enough staff. The explanation kept changing. The hostess was rude when speaking with our group, and when we asked to speak with a manager, he initially stayed in the back rather than addressing the situation. When he finally came out, his demeanor felt dismissive and unprofessional, including rolling his eyes while speaking to us.
They eventually agreed to seat part of our group, but half of our group had already left. Another family from our team arrived shortly afterward and was seated without any problem because they were a group of four. It showed that accommodations could have been made by seating us at separate tables, but no one seemed willing to work with us or consider any suggestions.
The group that stayed did enjoy their time — the food was good and their server treated them with kindness and respect, which they appreciated. Unfortunately, it was still disappointing that half of our team didn’t get to be part of the tradition with them.
We travel to Albuquerque twice a year for competitions and have always had positive experiences at this Red Robin in the past, which made this especially disappointing. I hope management reviews what happened and works to ensure guests are treated with professionalism and respect in the future, especially youth groups.

Tuesdays Special $10 Gourmet Cheeseburger was the juiciest burger I ever had at a Red Robin. And believe me I have been in PA, SC, FL, TX, CO and more. Keep up the wonderful pride in your cooking. Outstanding.

Great Experience. We have been to many Red Robins in various states. This was the best one yet. Enjoyed the $10.00 Cheeseburger Tuesday. Our server was friendly and kind. Sorry for spilling our drinks! Manager did a table touch to see how we were doing.

I order well done burgers and half the time they come back pink. I’ll wait the extra few minutes, just do the burger right. They’ve also changed their fry oil to an inferior product leaving them looking perpetually greasy.

We arrived here at 1PM on Saturday, 29 Jul 2023. It was fairly busy, but the employees were handling it pretty well and open tables appeared to be clean. It was pretty noisy and there was a lot of traffic going past our table, but it wasn’t an issue.
The small booth at which the host sat us, was somewhat cramped and also lacked silverware and napkins; however, we didn’t ask to be moved and our server brought us forks and napkins when we requested them (after we got our appetizer and realized we had none).
Our server was nice and attentive. At one point, not long after we’d finished our appetizer, he’d brought us a basket of steak fries and said our burgers were taking a little long. We took that to mean something got messed up with them, but didn’t inquire and continued to wait. He did joke around with us off and on during our visit, which was fun. We didn’t see him again after he took one of our plates upon finishing, and we paid via the kiosk that sat at the edge of the table.
The food was mostly disappointing. I’ve never eaten at a Red Robin until yesterday, but my significant other has recently, though in another state. I wasn’t impressed, but he wasn’t either, with this location. The fried pickles appetizer was very greasy but still tasted okay. The steak fries were decent enough, and the sauce that came with was good. Our burgers were made well but didn’t have much flavor; he had the Smoke & Pepper, and I had the Southern Charm. I found it odd that they had their own seasoning on the table, to add to almost any food item… but they could have added that to our burger patties while cooking to make them not so bland.
I’m not sure if I’ll go back to this location or the restaurant in general, not just because we didn’t enjoy our meal, but due to the lack of items that sounded really good to me. The burger I chose was only because nothing else sounded appealing, and that’s always a bummer at any restaurant.

It seems to very ordinary and fine restaurant in Abq. For lunch with friends we had hamburgers plates. It’s o.k a midium size hamburger with small amount french fries which I ordered again cause of small amounts of french fries and server lady’s did asked us if we need more french fries which I expected she’s gonna give us service. That’s not. Of course Wrong expectation.

Love it here. I love all the food. This visit was great. Super awesome waiter. Great food. Pretzel bites and cheese (always delicious) the whiskey river burger with upgraded side of the pub Mac and cheese. I love that I don’t have to always have fries for the side anymore. Red Robin is successfully rebranding themselves from the outside to the food options. Definitely recommend.

After two disappointing visits to Red Robin I’m done with them. I’m tired of being ignored by waitresses who are too busy talking to each other rather, than serving you. And when you do get one to come over, theis attitude is unfriendly. I’m tired of having to ask for silverware! Also very tired of the bottomless wait time for the bottomless fries! They take so long, I finally had to ask them if they forgot to order them or not. So then they go back to find it, bring them out, but it took so long, I’m already done wiht the rest of my meal. Also, the burger was way too salty. Not going back for a 3rd bad experience.
