This place is absolutely AMAZING. The food,atmosphere and the people. So friendly. Get the banana pudding. The owner take his time to walk you around and tell you all about the pictures and who he has met on the walls. I was taken of course by the fact he know Lainey Wilson. If you love in Ft. Worth, go and see Bob.

We were greeted at the front door by Bob. He was an outstanding host and gave us a wonderful tour after we had ordered. The entire place, including the bathroom walls, was full of amazing pictures complete with history. Bob was quite a character! The steaks were juicy and delicious. Every meal comes complete with a salad, a large baked potato, a buttered diner roll, and a bowl of seasoned fiesta beans. Each entre was prepared to perfection. While dining we were treated to a vocal performance by a young artist. He was talented and has a variety of prepared songs.

Had dinner Saturday night at the Stockyards during our first visit to Gladewater. I will break down our experience in pros and cons:
PROS:
* The host (owner?) was a very welcoming hospitable cowboy, chatting with us, showing us some of the many western memorabilia, awards, etc., and checking to make sure our steaks were done to our liking. Super nice guy.
* The food was plentiful and very good. My wife and I each had a steak, giant baked potato with all the fixins, ranch beans, a small corn on the cob, a dinner roll and a salad.
* The live music was excellent. The young man singing was belting out some good old country (Marty Robbins, Johnny Cash, etc.)
CONS:
* We sat away from the music (could still hear it just fine) and were the only ones sitting in that section. It was a very warm evening and it felt like there was no air conditioning inside, probably about 85 degrees.
* The whole time we were eating we were swatting flies off of our food. I guess just as if we were eating in a literal stockyard (warm and a lot of flies).
Our total bill came just over $100 including tip. Good food, great hospitality, but wouldn’t go back due to the heat and flies.

What an amazing place. Our daughter-in-law was shopping around for a new place for all 6 of us to have dinner. She discovered this wonderful Steakhouse. Bob introduced himself & seated us at this table by the fireplace. Yes a wood burning, charming fireplace. Bob shared the history of the Stockyard Steakhouse. We all so enjoyed it. Reminded me of home. We all ordered fabulous steaks, that included baked potatoes, beans, salad & dinner roll. If that wasn’t enough, we were all entertained by a charming young man that sang country music. We had such a great time! We will definitely be back.

What an experience, we came for my fathers birthday. Our service was excellent. The owner was a character. A great one. This is the type of dining atmosphere you want to be in. The food was amazing. The steaks where cooked perfect and the woodfire char was the top of the cherry …I highly recommend this steakhouse.

Food was fantastic. Loved the atmosphere and fireplace was going. Warm and inviting place. I had the porkchops and my husband had the Saddlebag chicken. Chicken was so tender it was falling apart and the pork chops were thick and juicy. Beans were tasty and not too spicy. Just enough kick to keep it interesting. The Appetizer we had was quail wrapped in bacon. YUM and the owner was very personable and checked on us a few times. Musician added great ambiance. We will come back to eat again! Good stuff!!

Came in for lunch and am leaving with enough for dinner! One of the biggest and best burgers I’ve had. As soon as you walk in you can smell the delicious wood fire grill. Our server, Rochelle was awesome! Definitely will be regular customers.
