De Islands is one of the best Caribbean fast casual restaurants around. I’ve been to this location and one in Brooklyn and the food is consistent. Always seasoned well, the stew chicken has just enough spice for flavor but not enough to scare off young children as my youngest love it. Fried porgies are seasoned well and always fresh. One of the rare places that has both fresh mauby and sorrel. Parking at this location is difficult due to a small lot but definitely worth getting a plate.

The jerk chicken is AMAZING! I kid you not. It’s so juicy and tasty. I literally have it once/twice a week! I need to try other things but the jerk chicken has me in a chokehold. It may be the best jerk I had in a while

Just had the oxtail with rice and peas at De Island Jamaican Restaurant and wow… it was so good! The oxtail was super tender and full of flavor, and the gravy over the rice and peas tied everything together perfectly. Big portions, great taste, and the kind of food that makes you feel like you’re at home. Definitely recommend this spot if you’re craving real Jamaican food.

It’s a Caribbean restaurant. So, if you like Caribbean food, you can go and eat. The restaurant is clean, neat, and a good place to sit in. You can smell the Caribbean spice and taste here.

Came here on a Sunday night and the staff was extremely pleasant and patient. The staff assisted us with the order and was very friendly. We got the Peas n Rice with oxtail and Jerk Chicken with Rasta Pasta and the food was extremely tasty and seasoned just right. It was not too salty, not too greasy, and spice not so overpowering that you can’t taste the basic ingredient of the dish. I love rice since I am Asian descent and I could eat their Peas n Rice all day. I just finished my meal 30 minutes ago and I lm already thinking about more. Please also try Buuru Cookies outside in the parking lot if you see them, their cookies are phenomenal. Grab some with De Islands for a complete meal.

The light skin girl (tall skinny one) in the front is extremely rude and her attitude is absolutely disgusting. Everyone in my family that goes to the restaurant has complaints about her attitude. The food is good, but people don’t want to be bothered with no bad service. Put her in the back or outside.
