Came here last night and had a wonderful experience! The owner came out to speak with us—he’s an older gentleman, super nice and sweet. Made sure we were comfortable and satisfied. The food was amazing! We had the soul food plate with mac & cheese, baked chicken and greens—cornbread so good abd sweet!!!..Just everything was delicious and on point. The waitresses were friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was very welcoming and accommodating checking on us the WHOLE time. 10/10, highly recommend!

My most recent experience was November 2025 since the remodeling of the Crenshaw Blvd. location and all was or has been an excellent experience+great customer service ( finally friendly faces & attitudes.. not to mention I was pleased with my food…!
Dulan’s wasn’t my Grandmother’s Alabama/Mississippi roots of Soul Food cooking, but I was pleased with all that I have tried and eaten since returning as a customer November 2025

I had not been to Dulan’s since 2017 but when I heard/saw Comedian/Actress Tiffany Haddish & Dulan’s owner plus local Los Angeles media and news outlets during October 2025 asking for the communities support of Black Business + to save Dulan’s Soul Food restaurant on Crenshaw Blvd., which was a staple in the Black community. Then I decided to go support Dulan’s, and it has been a greater experience than I ever recall from my last visit which was in 2016/2017.
I also recall being an Aunt Kizzy’s customer in Marina Del Rey back in the day… my mom & I would frequent Aunt Kizzy’s Back Porch Soul Food restaurant + I had my 1st date at Aunt Kizzy’s Soul Food restaurant.
Now fast forward many years have surpassed and I did not know that it was the Dulan Family behind Aunt Kizzy’s Back Porch location in Marina Del Rey, California long before Dulan’s transpired…
I will say that I will continue to return as long as the food stays consistent, excellent customer service + friendly staff continues. I suggest you go support as well.
FYI: Get in line…You order your food… pay for your food order, and then go have a seat at a table ( or the waiting bench seats while waiting on your To Go order(s) …

Once your order is paid for in advance… then you either sit down and wait on wait staff to bring you your plate of food… if you placed a To Go order then your food will be brought to you by a Dulan’s employee ( they will call out your To Go order by name or by your order # number.

Those customers that wish to eat inside or on the patio of Dulan’s restaurant will be given a placard to place on their table so that the wait staff/waitress can find your table and deliver your food to the correct table( seating is 1st come 1st serve).

There is nice comfortable bench for customers to wait on their To Go Orders, Uber Eats, and Dash etc orders.

There is a wheelchair ♿ entrance on the south side of the restaurant along the sidewalk and for those who have a difficult time climbing the steps that leads to the main entrance then go to the wheelchair ♿ entrance to avoid any steps.

Enjoy your Dulan’s experience.. it was great for me.

This is truly an amazing place. Cornbread was great, just sweet enough. I ate the 1/2 Fried Chicken plate and had no leftovers. Collared greens were cooked perfectly .
The staff was friendl, giving the place a family feel. We felt welcomed from the start.

Dulan’s Soul Food Kitchen is a beloved institution in Los Angeles, serving up Southern comfort with heart and heritage. From the moment you walk in, the aroma of fried chicken, smothered pork chops, and candied yams sets the tone for a soul-satisfying experience. The cafeteria-style service is fast and efficient—just be ready with your order when you reach the counter!
The food is the star here. Their fried chicken is legendary: crispy, juicy, and perfectly seasoned. The smothered pork chops, drenched in peppery gravy, are rich and indulgent. Sides like mac and cheese, collard greens with smoked turkey, and sweet potato pie round out the meal with Southern flair. Portions are generous, often enough to share or save for later.
The vibe is warm and nostalgic, with framed photos of celebrities and community figures lining the walls. Whether dining inside or on the patio, the atmosphere feels like Sunday dinner at grandma’s. Prices are reasonable for the quality and quantity, and the staff is friendly and welcoming.
Dulan’s isn’t just a restaurant—it’s a cultural landmark. If you’re craving authentic soul food that feeds both body and spirit, Dulan’s is a must-visit.

SOS can you imagine serving the community for 50 years of excellence. I’m still in love with the food and the new items added to the menu. The place is adorable and newly renovated. Ong the greens the candied yams are the very best in the city not to mention the corn bread, (I’m currently eating Dulan’s right now for breakfast- don’t judge) Anyhow you’ll get your values worth at this place. I could tell you about the lemonade slushy but you need to try it for yourself as there ain’t no way you’re not gonna love it. Too much on the menu to mention. Pull up support Dulans who were/ are struggling with loan structure taken out to renovate the business.

I Live In Las Vegas, And When I Go To Cali I Always Go To Dulan’s For Good Soul Food. You Get A Nice Portion For Your Money. Most Soul Food Restaurants Are Stingy With The Portions Of Food They Give You. The Food Came Out Fast, And The Customer Service Is Always Excellent. I Wish There Was A Soul Food Restaurant In Vegas That Is Worth What You Paid For. I Love The New Upgrade To The Restaurant.

For my first time, i was truly impressed. It is so hard to find good soul food nowadays. This is a GREAT spot to get a nice home cooked meal, when all your elders have gone on. The pork chops were a little overcooked for my liking but that Mac ‘n Cheese, BABYYYY, made up for it. I’m looking forward to my next visit and I’m trying something smothered and the peach cobbler. Great job Dulan’s!
