Since 2000, Pambiche has been nourishing Portland with traditional Cuban dishes that have been in the Maribona Family for generations. We serve Cuban comfort food straight out of grandma’s kitchen with an emphasis on fresh, natural and healthy meals, just as she intended for us. Located in the Apambichao Building, a classic turn of the century Victorian landmark on Portland’s East 28th Avenue, our scene is straight up Old Havana and our hospitality is genuinely Cuban! Reservations are not necessary at Pambiche, we seat upon arrival on a first come first serve basis. Our sidewalk café is heated, ventilated, seasonally enclosed and open year round. We look forward to serving you the best in Cuban Creole Cuisine and Classic Cuban Cocktails!
Trendy Cuban eatery featuring classic dishes served in a snug, bustling space with an upbeat vibe.

I love any Cuban dishes and their Milk Cakes are very tasty!!
Enjoy the authentic Cuban food.
I enjoyed the fish and loved the plantains. The embanadas were so good and I loved the sugarcane stick in our drinks. 10/10 for having a lot of tasty coffee drinks and desserts.
I also got the Cuban Consomme with rice and lime. So good I ended up dipping the burger into it. The last little drink of it was the best.
As I was finishing up, the staff made one too many Sangrias and so they gave the extra one to me. Like some neat yummy unexpected desert drink.
Great service! My waitress was so nice and attentive to me and the other customers.
There were several couples there on dates, but also a few single people there like myself. Everyone was enjoying the food, service, and ambiance.
The whole experience felt so cool and dreamy despite the summer heat.
That said, the restaurant’s decor is heavily themed around Santería imagery and Afro religious symbolism. While I understand this is part of Cuban cultural history, the intensity of the spiritual imagery created an atmosphere that felt uncomfortable for us personally.
If you’re going purely for the food, it’s fantastic. Just be aware the ambiance leans strongly into religious and spiritual themes.
