Disappointing experience overall. The cocktails were comparable to ones you would get in a club or dive bar for double the price. The shrimp starter came with these really dry, hard, crunchy crackers. The entree was 2 small chicken legs for 30 dollars (picture below). The biryani was okay hence the 2 stars. The food is not terrible but really poor value for money. We also waited 15 minutes for the bill even though the restaurant was about 1/3 full. The server watched me pay and stormed off with the machine, not saying a word. Unfortunately a poor experience.

Beautiful restaurant with a warm, calming ambiance—quiet enough to enjoy a good conversation. Beautiful high ceilings and brick walls. Two servers helped us, and our main server in a cheetah cardigan was especially thoughtful and welcoming (I did not catch a name, I apologize), offering to answer any questions and truly elevating the experience.

The owner personally checked in with every table with a warm smile. The food was comforting and delicious, and thoughtful touches—like birthday candles for a table celebrating, attentive check-ins, and the beautiful design—made the entire space feel warm and loving. Kids and dogs are welcome.

As we were leaving, we were genuinely happy, and the owner waved to us from inside—like we had been coming here for years. I would absolutely return.

Warm, friendly staff and quick service made for a pleasant experience. The high ceilings give the place an open, spacious feel. The food is mildly spiced and very approachable, especially for those trying Indian food for the first time

Went with my co worker during lunch on a Wednesday. There was only one server for the whole space and it took some time before he was able to attend to us. Most of the Tamil items on the menu were unavailable.

I ordered a goat dum biryani and it took over 45 minutes to get to us. For the long wait, I was expecting better quality at the least and was completely disappointed. I got a dish that was mostly turmeric, rice, cloves, and cardamoms with one piece of goat. It tasted terrible and I feel like I overpaid for basmati with a whiff of goat.

Here is a picture of my dish after I had eaten the one piece of goat. I do not recommend this restaurant’s wait time or food quality.

We had a reservation for eight on Valentine’s Day, but the management was very poor. No one was available to check us in, and guests were seated based on who was “visible” rather than by reservation. A party of two with an 8:15 reservation was seated before us simply because they were noticed first.

The food was equally disappointing. The Bharwa Shimla wasn’t seasoned properly, the Veg Kolhapuri was the saddest I’ve ever had, and the Veg Dum Biryani had only about five pieces of vegetables. Overall, it was a waste of time and money. I would not recommend this place.

Went here for the first time at 5.30 pm so got a table immediately as it opened. Ordered the stuffed capsicum curry and paneer tikka curry with garlic naan and pudina paratha. The stuffed capsicum was really good, but very heavy and creamy. The paneer tikka was tasty too but together the gravy seemed very similar for both dishes. The owner came over couple of times to chat and the server Dilip was courteous and sweet. The lemonade was a good accompaniment to the rich food, will visit again and try other dishes.

Great vegetarian options like paneer makhani masala, tandoori roti, and garlic naan. The restaurant has plenty of space and is comfortable for groups or individual diners.

Been there for the first time and truly loved the place. I went there after having a reservation.
They have an amazing menu which keeps changing every 2 months.
I ordered Paneer Tikka and Fish in the appetizers which was delicious. Order Chicken Patiala and Chicken Dum Biryani inMain Course which was good too. The food had an authentic aroma. Love the flavor.
The staff is very nice, they take feedback from you which is a great gesture.
The ambience is good.
I also loved the drinks as we ordered couple of them like coctails and Fresh Lime.
This place is much recommended. Will definitely go back to try different dishes of different cuisines.

First time and possibly not again. The space is nice but the food tasted okay. We were hoping for piping hot Jalebis but it tasted oily.

Had a fantastic meal at Nirmal’s for a big corporate sponsored dinner. They were busy serving our party of 20+, and we received great service. Big open space good for groups. The owner personally came out and chatted with all of us about the food and the establishment, and I hear he does this frequently. Food was incredibly filling, and we all left content with full bellies.

My favorite of the night was actually something we did not order. The owner wanted us to try their pork vindaloo, indeed a rare find on Indian restaurant menus, so he provided one for us on the house. It was incredibly tender and flavorful. I also enjoyed the dun biryani. This took some time to come out because of the cooking method, but worth the wait. Appetizers were okay; I could skip on the samosa, the paneer was good, while the lamb kebab and tandoori chicken were great. Do not skimp out on dessert! There are a lot to choose from on the dessert menu. I remember the jalebi being very delicious.
