Exceptional food, the tempura samphire and oyster get a special mention as something unusual and amazing and fish mains were all delicious. Service was exceptional, helpful and patient and interior is well decorated and clean.

It’s noteworthy regrettably the sea defences mean you can’t see down the beach. This isn’t a cheap meal but it’s far from expensive and I think great value considering the exceptional meal we had £100 for two for 2 courses and a glass of wine.

My partner and I had an Absolutely fantastic seafood experience from start to finish. The fish and chips were had were gorgeous — perfectly cooked with fresh, flaky fish and crisp, golden batter. We started with the pickled cockles, which were full of flavour and a real treat, and my partner had the crab cake which was beautifully done and packed with taste.

A special mention has to go to our waiter, Robert, who gave outstanding service. 10 out of 10.

Brilliant food, brilliant service — we’ll definitely be back.

Not the absolute best seafood platter we’ve had, but up there in the top 5! Prawns we’re very salty and the cockles turned out to be mussels, which I actually prefer. Service and atmosphere were both excellent. We will definitely return in the future.

Probably the best place I ate while in London. Only had small bites, but the food was incredible. Tried some things I’ve never heard of before. The staff were also so friendly and helpful as we started our travel in Portsmouth! We mentioned we loved the strawberries so they added extra to our cheesecake. And our view was fabulous.

Amazing service from Lennon today. We sat outside in the hot sun and warm breeze. Beautiful day which just added to our experience.
Three of us had drinks, 3 small plates, 3 “puddings” and 2 coffees with liqueurs. £45 per head including tip.
Beautiful food and well flavoured and presented. Staff could not be more helpful with 1 of us having an allergy. They accommodated this menu choice by a variation at their suggestion which chef achieved fantastically. Over and above service.
I wouldn’t hesitate to go to The Briny again. Fabulous

I’ve been going to The Briny for their £1 Oyster Night for years, and it never disappoints! The service is top-notch – the staff make you feel like you’re at home, always attentive and friendly. The food, of course, is the star of the show, with succulent oysters and impeccable quality that’s always consistent. It’s more than just a meal, it’s an experience that leaves you feeling happy and wanting to come back for more. If you haven’t tried it, trust me, you need to get there! Five stars isn’t enough – I’d give it ten stars if I could!

Loved our first trip here! Not too busy on a Wednesday & perhaps why it seemed like not quite enough staff on. Having taken our drinks order they took absolutely ages to arrive That aside, food & our server were both fabulous.
My Lemoncello Spritz was gorgeous

Best missed ferry ever!

We were delighted to sit at the Chefs table at this wonderful discovery, having missed our ferry over to Normandy due to the Bank Holiday traffic.

From the cocktails (definitely not to be overlooked) right through to the end, we were delighted by the tastes and the presentation of each dish.

We opted for the ‘small plates’ – six delightful dishes shared between the two of us – and everything was freshly prepared before our eyes. The whole team – kitchen and front of house – were a joy throughout.

Perhaps we benefited from a quieter than usual service, but in any case we will certainly be back – these dishes are all fresh, tasty and really enjoyable with a glass of fresh white wine (we took the Assyrtiko) or two 🙂

Particular highlights – the fried trout with its green slaw, and the smoked haddock fish cake.

I’d have a fiery pineapple margarita too, if I were you

After 2 hours hiking we came to the restaurant for lunch. The location is very good as it is close to the beach. We ordered steak, roasted cod and chocolate cremeux, the taste are ok, but the portion are small. not value for money for the price they charged. When we entered the restaurant it was less than half full, the waitress quickly came and took our order, but the bar and kitchen were very very slow, not recommend when you are very hungry.

I really enjoyed it, we went there for lunch and loved it! The staff was great, we had a nice coffee and lovely food. Everything was delicious, the English breakfast was great and the French toast was superb. I would definitely recommend as brunch place
