Food: You truly get exactly what you pay for, and I think that is magical and amazing.
Actually my cousin got the burger (it was like $3) and the patty was identical to an In-N-Out patty (get a double here), but there was SEASONING on the bun so it had FLAVOR It’s just all very nice to be able to buy TWO meals for $20. I don’t think I’ve ever bought food that cheap in my life.
Atmosphere: It’s a drive thru only and I’m pretty sure there’s outside seating but we drove away from that side of town very briskly after we got our food.

recently went through the drive-through for the very first time right off the back. I’m not gonna lie. We thought the place would have like handcrafted root beers or anything like that just the opposite they just have regular standard root beer so pretty disappointed with that the food was OK just you’re run of the meal hamburgers and fries.

First, there is no indoor table area to eat, only outside. Service very friendly. Burger looked OK before I opened but there was no spread whatsoever! I had to add my baby rays secret sauce that I happen to have at home.. The burger patty was so thin and overcooked that honestly, looked disgusting, bacon wasn’t thoroughly cooked, which grossed me out further, so I took it off the patty. Basically I wasted $12 and change on a lousy burger (receipt in burger pic). The only thing that was prepped right were the fries ! First and last visit here. I’ll stick to In-N-Out burger!

Always my favorite burger, but this time was the first time getting the Avocado Burger! So delicious!!! It was big & they did not short me on avocados, that’s for sure! The fries are always crispy & have good seasoning, good homemade tasting ranch & the staff is so friendly. We always seem to have the same girl (weekends or today is a holiday) & she is so friendly & always has a smile. It is worth the whole drive across town.

We heard a lot of good things about Root Beer King so we thought we’d try it as we were passing through Bakersfield. We were amazed how affordable this place is. The burgers are super fresh and a good size you would think they’d cost a lot more. They do something with spices on the bun which makes it taste unlike any other burger I’ve had. The employees were super friendly and fast service as well. Stop by here and try it you won’t be disappointed.
