The atmosphere is warm and inviting without being too noisy, which makes it perfect for an intimate dinner, whether it is a first date or a special anniversary celebration. The valet and hostess staff are always professional and friendly, setting a positive tone the moment you arrive. The bathrooms are also very well maintained and spotless, which reflects the overall care and attention the restaurant puts into every detail.
Del Friscos delivers a consistently excellent dining experience, and we highly recommend it to anyone looking for quality food, outstanding service, and a comfortable and elegant setting.
We were celebrating our 2nd wedding anniversary (and combined birthday celebration) with an upscale dinner out – only a once a year opportunity due to budget and a toddler at home who would not fare well without chicken nuggets and ketchup.
Our server, Lucas, was attentive and friendly and served complimentary champagne (some of the best I’ve had!) at the top of the meal as well as a celebratory cheesecake post-dinner. Very thoughtful and we highly enjoyed!
We ordered cocktails and the King Crab Rainbow Roll starter which was fantastic as was the Lobster Bisque. My husband ordered the Sesame Crusted Ahi Tuna (also divine) and I was torn between the salmon and the Del’s Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes.
Lucas suggested the crab cakes which I chose; we also ordered Lobster Mac & Cheese to round out the meal. Everything looked beautiful when delivered to the table.
I tried it all and enjoyed. However, I didn’t love the crab cakes. This was a personal preference reason and nothing to do with the chef or the food quality. (I prefer a crust/crunch on my crab cakes and these were soft and slightly undercooked for my taste.)
Overall, a lovely experience. Lucas made us feel welcome and gave us multiple Happy Anniversary wishes which was appreciated. (Note: The hostess staff wished the couple ahead of us a Happy Anniversary but didn’t say anything to us. No big deal.)
We’ve visited and enjoyed Eddie V.’s and we’re happy to also now have visited and enjoyed Del Frisco’s in Greenwood Village. Fine dining with a price tag that matches (hence only once a year) but worth it for the experience!
Onto the food- FANTASTIC! Highly recommend the Prime Strip and Prime Ribeye. Full of flavor and cooked very well. The birthday cheesecake and orange creamsicle desserts were delicious. We really enjoyed the speciality cocktail and mocktail for breast cancer awareness month. I love that they do this! We hope to return the next time we visit Colorado. Thanks for a wonderful evening!
10/10 would recommend for any and all special occasions!
Servers were knowledgeable and pleasant but, the MOD seemed like he didn’t want to be there and it was a little distracting from the atmosphere for me. I didn’t have direct interaction but he was frequently visible looking perturbed or stressed. Could be personality or a situation but, I only mention because it distracted from the overall great experience we were having.
Now the food……. We started with the calamari appetizer, and I must say it was disappointing. The calamari itself were average but the vast amount of sweet chili sauce it was emersed in was overwhelming and overpowering. Not good. I have had some great Ribeye steaks in my time, and I cannot say that I was impressed with my steak from Del Frisco’s. My ($85) steak was overcooked and dry and the mashed potatoes were overpowering with salt and butter. On top a having a $35 drink, I expected to have a better meal. My wife ordered seared ahi tuna which looked great and tasted good. unfortunately, the veggies layered under the tuna contained some pretty spicy jalapeno peppers which overpowered the plate. Not a bad tuna but my wife could not enjoy the veggies.
Also the restaurant is very dark and almost gloomy. It’s nice be able to hear the other person across the table speak but the ambiance needs a little more light.
All in all, the food can use improvement. I don’t normally like to complain because I love food and I do not skimp on the price. but this first visit was not up to par and I don’t think we will be going back to eat here. Thank you to the great staff at the restaurant, you all work very hard and are professional.
