I had never visited this restaurant chain previously, but some of my relatives had suggested that I visit Tacos Gavilan as they claimed it was the best Mexican restaurant chain ever. I am so glad to report that they were absolutely right!! The restaurant had plenty of parking and as soon as I walked in to the restaurant I was overwhelmed by how clean and beautiful the place was. The cashier was so kind and the prices were definitely reasonable. I recommend visiting on a Tuesday for their Taco Tuesday special, you save $1 per taco. I ordered a burrito and the price was super reasonable for the humongous burrito they gave me. When I went inside the restroom I found that they were incredibly clean. I usually do not go to the bathroom in public restrooms but the restrooms in Tacos Gavilan we’re super clean and safe. They are locked so you have to ask a worker to open it for you. The tables were really clean and there was almost nobody there. I highly recommend all their food. It is the most traditional Mexican restaurant I have ever visited. If you are in Los Angeles make sure to visit. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Sum items are as close to my Mom’s cooking so yes I like this place a lot.. Will always luv my cultural foods.. Torta de Jamon my Fav! The rice I can just eat all day! I’m glad things are opening up nd the best part is they have taken lots of precautions.. ❤

Tacos El Gavilan is amazing. I’m from the east coast but my wife is from here and we always come to Tacos El Gavilan (just Gavilan) when we come. It’s some of the best tacos for the most reasonable price (compared to NY). I wish they would open up one in NYC or Jersey City, show them how to really do tacos. The horchata is amazing as well.

Wonderful staff and the lady at the reception is amazing. Their taco Tuesday deals are good but it doesn’t say them anywhere but I recommend you do it on Tuesday. They’re inside atmosphere is nice and their tables are pretty clean. Fast serving. You can get your own condiments as frijoles.

Great food…I usually get quesadilla and I top it with beans then onion cilantro then add lettuce on top if any, at the end I add the green and red spicy salsa…yummy and of course a green jalapeño to go with it.

This was my favorite place for Mexican food however the quality and taste of the food has fast fallen. I ordered the carnesa plate the meat is full of fat tasteless the beans are canned, The rice is bland In the wailing on the salad was spoiled. I will not return to this restaurant.

I understand that demand for food delivery was the reasoning behind the recent changes to the packaging at Tacos Gavillan. COVID -19 definitely has something to do with this too. I don’t really remember when they started to individually package all the condiments but I think their attempts to innovate with the drinks was a total fail.
They package your drink in a ziplock style bag. The bag does not stand on its own or have straw holes. If you are not going directly home this is so inconvenient because you can’t put your drink in cup holders. You also run the risk of spilling your drink or it bursting open.
I write this review so gavillan can considers changing this major design flaw.
