and well-designed, with a convenient location right by the BeltLine. It’s an appealing space to hang out, but the service concept was confusing and ultimately the reason we didn’t stay.
There’s a counter to order, but when we got in line, a staff member told us to order from a server at a table since we were dining in. It took about 10 minutes for a server to stop by, and another 10 minutes for drinks to arrive. The tacos also seemed fairly small and priced around $5–$7 each, which felt steep for what they were.
We did try the queso, which was fresh and tasty, but between the wait times and pricing, we decided to eat elsewhere. The space itself is great, but the ordering process and service flow could use improvement.

I’ve been to Muchacho’s a few times now for happy hour / coffee / drinks and it never disappoints. Today, I came for brunch with a friend and was blown away by the service and quality of food. My experience started with a great server, Panga; he made me feel instantly at ease, like meeting an old friend. He was knowledgeable and made sure everything was correct for my order, even introduced me to the morning’s barista, Gogo (I apologize, I didn’t get his full spelling, this could be wrong).
The food itself was delicious. Highly recommend adding tajin to the fruit bowl, per Panga’s suggestion! And the Golden Latte (ginger and turmeric) with oat milk and a shot of espresso is a perfect wake-me-up on a cold day.
Day or night, lite bites or full meals, you can’t go wrong here.

First time here on a chilly but sunny afternoon. I love the ease of counter ordering, which we did quickly and easily without a wait. The menu is simple and straightforward and they allowed for some adjustments. You can select flower or corn tortillas. We seated ourselves in the front with a great view of people enjoying the day out on Memorial. The food was delivered quickly and everything was as ordered, fresh ingredients and plenty of food for the price paid.

Muchacho is arguably the place to be in Atlanta, offering a high-energy atmosphere that is perfect for any time of day. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, making you feel right at home in their stylish, retro-inspired space.
Superb Drinks: The cocktail program is outstanding, featuring creative and refreshing options that are a step above the usual.
Vibrant Vibe: The large terrace and airy interior create a lively, “see and be seen” environment.
Dog Friendly: It is a very dog-friendly spot, making it a favorite for locals to hang out with their pets.

Service is incredibly pleasant. Friendly and polite staff. However, I didn’t taste one thing that I would come back for or that was worth the money. Very disappointing. The burritos beautiful but lacking salted egg. Birra quesadilla meat was dry and no seasoning not even salt, meat and cheese were strangely separated(meat was tip of triangle and cheese was above it at wide bottom).
In-house made Tortillas need to be eaten quicker than they can make it to the table otherwise, dry and hard. Meat again, not salted. Fries looked amazing but bland, no salt and not very good. Corn ribs, overly seasoned with the mayo and not gourmet tasting. Simple and not worth the money or calories.
The s’mores latte, great!
The non alcoholic plum tea delicious.
The matcha was light purple milk- sent this back, as no one wanted a cold glass of colorful milk.
And chai came watery.
Wanted to love this cool place. Presentation is beautiful but the food lacks flavor and simple seasoning. The salsa could not save the burrito or birra for us. And neither could the pineapple in the tacos. The churros like the corn could be so much better; thrown into a very liquidy and simple chocolate and the churros tossed in strong and dark cinnamon but not delicious. Everything very simple and seasoned wrong or not at all. Loved the vibe and wished the food was even just a little better. Didn’t find a reason to return.

Muchacho is an absolute vibe. The surfer burritos are unreal — packed, flavorful, and straight-up craveable. The staff is top-notch and always brings great energy, which makes the whole place feel alive. The atmosphere is rockin’, and the outdoor sunken garden is honestly off the charts — such a cool spot to hang and soak it all in.
Cheap beers, solid shots, beautiful people… what more do you need? Muchacho just gets it. Can’t wait to go back.

This chicken sandwich is amazing. Best sandwich I have ever had. I eat great food. I am from New Orleans so we have many great chefs. Better than any I’ve had. Nice size, seasoned well, well breaded and would recommend to every person I know coming to Atlanta. When I get to my computer, I will post a picture. I didn’t expect the chicken sandwich from any Mexican restaurant to be this good.

Victoria and the staff were phenomenal in making my father and I feel welcomed and appreciated while still keeping the entertainment and vibe high. The food was exactly what we needed to keep going on our trip; the ceviche was phenomenal and so was the corn ribs. Cocktails were strong and enjoyable. I would highly recommend this location!
