The waiter was super friendly and spoke English really well, which made everything easier. The food was very good overall. We tried the local specialty, quenelle with crayfish sauce – it’s definitely a matter of taste, but interesting to try.

Our starters were enjoyable: the foie gras was just right, and the pâté en croûte was really good. For the main course, we went for one of the house signature dishes – veal braised in red wine – and it was absolutely fantastic. They didn’t ask about sides, but we got two anyway: one didn’t quite match the main, but the potato chips were a hit.

Desserts: The crème caramel with pistachio was pleasant, though not outstanding. The baba au rhum was wonderfully generous with high-quality rum.

I think it was a bit pricy, but I can’t lie, it was delicious. The pâté en croûte (20eu) was good and it was my first time eating one so I don’t have any comparison, but the best was the scallops (28eu). There was a small basket of crispy, thjnly sliced potatoes and a freamy pasta bowl that came with it, and those were so good too. The bread they served was so delicious as well, actually one of the best breads I’ve had in a bouchon/restaurant. It was a good place to try Lyonnaise food.

Great atmosphere, great service , despite being young team running the show, the food is very good , if you fancy very traditional French bistro dishes such as “lièvre à la royale, tablier de sapeur , quenelle, œuf en meurette, pâte croute….. (some of the dishes have to be ordered days in advance ) great place to taste French food from the capital of food.

Tried the lunch special moist ground pork with a crispy outer shell, perfect texture, made savory with dill sauce, and French toast blueberry sauce, super sweet! With its attentive service and quiet atmosphere, this Michelin rated bouchon restaurants delivers!

The staff was amazing — they explained everything in detail, recommended wine pairings with our food, and were incredibly kind and patient, especially considering how busy it was. We enjoyed everything except the chicken, but still recommend trying it at least once if you’re in Lyon. We didn’t have a reservation but were seated right away (we arrived at 12 PM). The best part for us was the atmosphere, the staff, and the desserts.

Recommended to try here by a guy who sold me some souvenirs. Truly great shout!

Service was very fast and attentive, food was great, full of flavour. LARGE portions, I couldn’t finish the main although it was delicious!

I was starting to think a place with good food and good service in Lyon was like trying to find a unicorn! So thank you.

Honestly, I found the food a bit overrated given all the hype. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t particularly impressive either. Tried their signature pâté en croûte, but it didn’t stand out, and the bone marrow was quite bland. Service was slow, and the atmosphere was just average especially compared to some lesser-known bouchons that offer a more authentic experience. Overall, an okay meal, but I wouldn’t rush back.

My husband read that this restaurant was rated, so we tried it out .

Was disappointed with everything. The food was average. Food took a long time to be served. Which made our meal 2.5 hours long not because we ate slow or decided to linger.

I hope things improve because it did have good reviews and ratings.

We did enjoy the Chocolate Mousse
