I think some of us forgot how awesome this place has been to us over the years. My entree was $12, I was full, and it was delicious. My server, Dash, was awesome. I used to work in restaurants, the staff here is actually happy. I saw the manager doing a little dance because the music was fun. I saw families with children having a good time because they can afford to feed the whole family. The manager stopped by my table to ask what we thought about this place she’s put so much effort into. Maybe not every Applebee’s, but the one in Clarksville is awesome, and I mean that.

Matthew was our server and he did great! Our food came out hot and correct. Both managers greeted us, and the the drinks were good. Every now and then when we can afford to go out. Applebees was a good choice. An appetizer, 2 entrees and drinks for 55$ before tip isn’t terrible.

The atmosphere was fine and we were initially greeted kindly. My steak was great. But the customer culture was unacceptable. The green beans and broccoli were not cooked how most Tennesseans prefer to eat it. We are in the south, but the green beans were crunchy and so was the broccoli. Most southerners don’t like their vegetables cooked like that. But I was willing to overlook it and just order Mac n cheese until I was patronized for asking for something different. “Are you sure you want Mac n cheese?” “Are you sure?” “This is the third time now” with no apology. Then when the manager came out (I didn’t even ask for the manager) she said the same thing to me. “Are you sure you want mac n cheese? Are you sure? This is the 3rd time”. Yeah I’m sure y’all should have made things right the FIRST time. Be familiar with the demographics in your area, because there is nothing southern friendly about crunchy green beans and crunchy broccoli and cheese. I would have not even brought this up if it wasn’t for both the waitress and manager patronizing us.
