I normally come here to get the baked fish but today I tried something new and im disappointed that i wasted $14. I got the baked chicken and it was extremely dry… I had to cover it in bbq sauce just to eat it, and the spicy broccoli was so salty !! Soul food is supposed to be perfectly seasoned not salty enough to cause a spike in my blood pressure

When I come to Memphis I like to come here to eat a bunch of food. This time, I ordered the pork chop with 3 sides this time and then an additional 3 side sampler. I wasn’t alone and I definitely didn’t eat it all but I love the variety. The service is fast and friendly. The food is hot and yummy and will be back again next time I’m in town.

I’ve been coming to this location for several years and I’ve enjoyed the food and atmosphere for the most part. However, I think the rising costs to operate has been catching up to them. I ordered the chicken fried chicken tonight and it was the size of a McDonald’s chicken pattie with what appeared to be roughly two tablespoons of brown gravy. The small cups containing my two sides were half full. Certainly, not worth the money. I think overall it was slightly larger than a Banquet TV Dinner you’d find at Dollar Tree.

I was staying at a nearby hotel. Came in for dinner at 7:30pm. I ordered baked chicken with fried okra and collard greens. The baked chicken breast was small and dry. The portions were small also. The service was good.

The young lady at the drive through was sooo unfriendly at the Abbay’s on Germantown Rd.. the Mac&Cheese was severely over cooked. The Baked Chicken was so very tough that I needed a knife to cut it. The Green Beans and Roll were tasty though.

This is one of our favorite places to stop for food on our way out of TN. It’s like a fast food meat and three. Quick and easy and something different than other fast food options. It’s simple and delicious.

If you were a regular at Dixie café, or the Black Eyed Peas or Po Folks, this is your place. I especially like how well they season and cook the fish and get it right which most fast foods and fast casual either under cook or overcook it. It is near the interstate and near Germantown Parkway. Also, I have posted the menu in the photos.

Used to love this place, but its slipping. Frequently missing sides, and today the food was terrible. WAY too much pepper in the beef and parts of it were undercooked. Pink is ok on a steak, not ground beef.

I ordered via GrubHub, so I cannot comment on the service or atmosphere.
The Fried Okra was soggy, but I did have it delivered.
The fried fish and chicken & dumplings were both very good.
The peach cobbler was delicious.
VIP Sweet Tea on the GrubHub app means mixed with lemonade.

I would order from here again.

A go-to place for great southern food with prices you can’t beat. Amazing staff! The manager is one of the best. Lots of food for one or more people. Definitely try this location!
