I’m excited to share that I was the winner of the **2024 12 Days of Marlow** contest—meaning I got to dine at Marlow once a month for FREE throughout 2025. And dine I absolutely did! I made it my mission to sample as much of the menu as possible, and these were my all time favorites:
* Shrimp and crab nachos
* Crispy grouper sandwich
* Firecracker Shrimp
* Chicken piccata
* Black & blue steak salad
* Infamous (Chilean sea bass) fish tacos
* Chicken panini with onion rings (**all-time favorite**—they put a *cheese stick* inside it!)
* Bourbon-glazed pork tenderloin with duchess sweet potatoes and sautéed cabbage and kale
**Not pictured (and sadly no longer on the menu, but they should be):
** Vegetable lasagna
** Sunflower-crusted chicken tender salad
Don’t let the name fool you—Marlow’s is more than just a bar; it’s an experience! The Executive Chef keeps things fresh and exciting, the food is consistently delicious, with prices that are as inviting as the menu itself. You’re welcome—thank me later.

Service was great and food was tasty, my best friend and I meet here every so often it’s comforting because I can go here and expect great food and service and leave satisfied. The waitress was very polite as well which made our dinner date 10/10 will always recommend Marlow’s ☺️

While the main dish excelled, the side pickle was a notable miss. Its unusual and unpleasant taste was confirmed by the opinions of two coworkers, suggesting it wasn’t an isolated experience.
However, the rich and decadent brownie served as a delightful redemption, ending the meal on a high note.
Based solely on the takeout food quality, Marlow’s Tavern delivers a tasty and satisfying meal, particularly with their exceptional brisket grilled cheese. The disappointing pickle was a minor setback ultimately overshadowed by the delicious sandwich and the excellent brownie. I would definitely order the brisket grilled cheese again.

Excellent service! Nice size portion of the kettle chips and shrimp appetizers. The Spiced Pan Chicken side portions were almost non-existent. Approximately four tablespoons of rice and seven string beans. With that said, the chicken breast was very moist. The salmon and filet dishes ordered were excellent. I was told the twice baked potato was chefs kiss.

Been going to Marlow’s in Midtown for years.
Recently moved to Smyrna and was happy to see a location near my home.
Slight wait when we walked in – host could use some work on friendliness – they were an order taker.
Smile a little or at least act like you like working there!
The host is the first impression of the restaurant. I overlooked this – but many will not.
Quickly found a spot at the bar to dine.
Great choice for us.

Stopped by Marlow’s Tavern and had a solid experience. The atmosphere is relaxed and polished without feeling stuffy, making it a great spot for a casual dinner, meeting friends, or even a low-key business meal.
The menu has a good variety of elevated tavern favorites, and the food was well-prepared and flavorful across the board. Nothing wildly experimental, but everything was done right. Service was friendly, attentive, and kept things moving without rushing us.
It’s not trying to be the trendiest place in town, and that’s actually part of the appeal. Consistent food, good drinks, and a dependable overall experience earn this an easy 4 stars. A place you can confidently come back to.

Each Marlow’s has a neighborhood feel and this one has a definite Cobb County feel.
This location stays busy and because of that eating inside, you will experience a louder than normal dining experience. The patio offers respite and the service is quick and friendly.
One issue I’ve noted recently with this location is the overuse of salt in all of the dishes. The chef and the sous chefs have a heavy salt hand. Your cardiologist will get hiccups if you eat here.
Also, to serve folks who eat Kosher and Halal, you should offer more menu and special items that do not include pork and shellfish. Having an inclusive menu means that you serve the entire community.
Signing up for the app and becoming a frequent diner is actually a good thing.

We came here as recommended and we were very satisfied with the food. It was around 12pm on a weekday when we entered and the place was almost full but we were greeted and accommodated politely. The appetizers were flavorful and a bit spicy. The steak with potatoes was absolutely superb and the shrimp was tasty but got tired of it quickly. Too crowded for me but I guess that’s how it is when they serve really good food.
