Visiting from San Antonio TX came across this gem of a spot. I’ve lived and visited other parts of the world. Eaten a lot of Mediterranean style foods. Honestly wasn’t expecting much but blown away on how much I enjoyed this simple meal of lamb kabob wraps and a side shrimp skewers. The complimentary appetizer plate and bread was a nice touch. The Turkish tea during the meal was good and finished with a great Turkish coffee. Highly recommend food and service was excellent. Yes, the atmosphere a little dated but don’t let that deter you. The service is excellent both waitresses that served me were very friendly and attentive. I’ll be back.

This place rocks! Probably the best middle eastern food I’ve had in the Charleston area and at an incredible value. Food is so flavorful and with large portions for the price. What impressed me was real burning coals to cool the Kofta and kabobs, as well as fresh, off the spit shawarma. The starting bread was delicious, fresh hummus, my lamb shawarma plate with salad and rice was to die for, enough for 2, and 16.99. As far as I am concerned, when in the area why eat anywhere else?

This Turkish restaurant has a quiet and friendly environment offering Halal food in generous portions. The wait staff serve fresh warm pita bread with accoutrements. The beef kabobs were phenomenal and was paired nicely with salad and rice. Definitely a nice sport for a quiet meal with friends or family.

Istanbul Shish Kabab

Stumbled onto this little spot while we were out shopping at the outlet mall and let me just say — what a FIND.

I’m a serious kabab lover, and y’all… this is hands-down the best kebab I’ve had in a long time.

From the second you walk in, the team greets you like you’re family. Big smiles, warm energy, and that cozy “sit down and stay awhile” vibe. It feels less like a restaurant and more like Sunday dinner at someone’s house where everybody takes care of you.

They start you off with a small spread for the table — a crisp corn slaw, tangy yogurt, briny green olives — the perfect little bites while you wait. But let’s talk about that bread…

The pita comes out fresh and puffed, toasted right before it hits your table. Hot, soft, slightly sweet, and pillowy. Tear one open and the steam rolls out. I could’ve made a whole meal just off those alone. No shame.

We were planning to split the mixed kabab platter, but our sweet server suggested ordering two plates instead so we could try more variety — BEST decision ever.

I had the shrimp and lamb. My husband went with beef and lamb. Each plate came with fluffy, lightly seasoned pilaf and the freshest Jerusalem salad.

Everything was cooked perfectly.

The lamb? Tender, smoky, beautifully spiced, and zero gaminess. Just rich, savory flavor with warm hints of cumin and grill char. Absolute perfection.

The shrimp? Huge, juicy, and sweet with bright citrus notes. Cooked just right — plump and succulent, not a second over.

And that salad? Crisp cucumber, ripe tomatoes, lemon, herbs, a touch of salt… clean, fresh, and the perfect balance to the grilled meats.

Every bite was one of those “close your eyes for a second” moments.

If you’re anywhere near Charleston, do yourself a favor and stop here. Incredible food, heartfelt service, and flavors that feel both comforting and unforgettable.

We’ll 100% be back.

The taste of tge food was good. We ordered mix grill for 3 person and we could not finish it due to the big portion of kebob and rice and salad. I liked the place and recommended.

Just wow!
Sometime like 9 years ago my (smaller) family and I stumbled upon this place in their original location. We were stunned by how good the food was. It’s a multiple house drive from home, but the times that we have come back have made us go looking, but we weren’t able to find our way back.
Then, this past trip, we found them again. It’s just as good, or better, than it used to be.
We would seriously suggest the shared meal, because it will give you a great collection of different meats, all of which are amazing.
The different method of cooking really makes a difference!
We will certainly be coming back.

I really liked the environment a lot. Each serving came with plenty of food, and the spicy meat was delicious. The waitress was friendly, the atmosphere was warm, and there was plenty of parking. The only thing for me was that I’d prefer not to see the kitchen while people are working as I’m eating—it felt a bit uncomfortable.

We were passing by this area and wanted Mediterranean food. This restaurant had a great rating and we decided to try it. Our server, Katia, was amazing! Everything we tried was delicious! We couldn’t stop eating the homemade fresh Pita bread, which comes warm with fresh hummus. The food is freshly made and with great fresh ingredients. We loved it! I definitely recommend this restaurant if you are in the area. They had amazing desserts as well. We couldn’t decide with just one. Thanks for an amazing experience! Will definitely come back in the near future. ♥️♥️♥️
