RIP Jenna Clare Mahoney, I miss watching you inhale chocolate chip pancakes more than anything ever.
Main Question:
Is the food here worth the money?
Short Answer: No, not from this experience.
Detailed Answer:
There is no sugar coating this and I must say that I had higher hopes for this place but I was sorely mistaken and severely disappointed.
I ordered the triple decker sandwich. The bread was inedible. It was the second most stale bread I’ve ever eaten anywhere. Falling second only to bread my mom left open for 4 days and I made a sandwich from it when I was 12 years old. The bread was partially burnt on top. The were two slices of turkey on the sandwich. The bacon was good. The tomatoes were good but a BLT is about the entire sandwich and when you must fight to try to break through the bread with a saw, this ruins the entire sandwich.
The mashed potatoes came out drenched in gravy. I love gravy but my goodness, don’t give me the entire cup. The mashed potatoes were not good. They tasted like they were instant mashed potatoes and I didn’t finish them.
My son ordered a cheeseburger and the onions were cut gigantic. The chef must have been new or just didn’t care about the meal. (Saturday November 4th, around 8:30pm). He loves onions but those were huge and he ended up digging them out of the sandwich. The fries weren’t bad.
Unfortunately, I came for the soup and salad and they had no soup.
The server was great but there were so many other problems in this place, it wasn’t good enough service to bring this from one star to two. Maybe 1.2 stars.
The bathrooms weren’t horrible but they smelled and if you look at the sink where the employees wash their hands, you can see it needs a severe cleaning.
We will not be back again and I highly suggest you do not go either.
