1st time here & it will not be our last time. This place was amazing the staff here are very friendly and welcoming. Danny took our order and would come by to check on us. the other staff did as well helpful to our needs. They have spicy peach wings totally game changer and so far the best wings I have ever had. If your in the area stop by and give them a try, you will not be disappointed.

This was our third time trying Mattenga’s. The first time was amazing, the second time not so great—but they were quick to apologize and make it right. I’m glad we gave them another chance because the pizza really is delicious. Reminds me of authentic NY pizza—great flavor, not dry or overcooked. We picked up our order and the line was out the door, which says a lot. Definitely worth it if you’re on the hunt for quality pizza!

I rarely review places we eat, but our first visit to Mattengas was so amazing we called the manager out to compliment his staff. Every front of the house staff member was enthusiastic, friendly, respectful and eager to help. And… the Honey Bexar pizza was delicious! We will be bringing the full family back during Spring Break and will make this our go to pizza spot… it is worth the drive!

Mattenga’s is a hidden gem! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive from the moment we walked in. The atmosphere is laid-back and chill—perfect for hanging out with friends or catching a game. There are TVs on every wall playing a mix of Food Network and sports, which adds to the fun vibe.
They’ve got about a dozen beers on tap, which paired perfectly with their food—everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and came out fast. Prices are reasonable and the service was on point. Great spot all around. We’ll definitely be back!

This was my first time and had no idea this place even existed. From the moment we walked in to the moment we walked out all of the employees were absolutely attentive, friendly, welcoming, and just amazingly helpful! The food was perfect! And those pizza rolls…OMG those pizza rolls!! Definitely will be bringing the whole family by! Absolutely loved that they have a little space for the kiddos. My toddler enjoyed it.

So I love ordering yall spaghetti when I stayed in Selma and cibolo and yall pizza is good too. I was excited to see yall was on door dash but a little saddened that yall don’t have yall pasta as a choice to order on DoorDash since I moved away and I can no longer come in or get yall delivered. Whenever I use to come the place was always clean and the people working there was always so nice and welcoming and warm.

Honestly, I hate even writing this review because once our food was cooked correctly it was phenomenal!
My biggest piece of advice, don’t order the pulled pork even though it’s available online and it’s on their menu in the store. They will tell you they do not sell it.
When we received our pizza, we were not given the extras we asked for online and our order was mostly wrong. When my husband went back in to tell them they made the order wrong, they asked us to give back the pizza and then recooked it correctly.
Just after a long day, the last thing we wanted was to wait over 20 minutes for another pizza without getting any kind of compensation. We normally have our 2 toddlers with us, and we would’ve had to have left without a pizza at all if they were with us. Just a big disappointment and it’s unfortunate to give such a low rating because when I say the pizza was delicious, it was! Just disappointing to not receive anything for compensation, not even keeping the wrongly made pizza when it would most likely be thrown away. We are on vacation and when we come back to San Antonio I will sadly say we will not be returning.
