The Koko Marina Pub in Oahu is Kona Brewing Company’s second restaurant, right on the docks of Koko Marina. Open since 2003, the recent renovation of this pub was inspired by a traditional Hawaiian canoe house. The pub provides outstanding views of the marina and its lush, green backdrop. What’s more, the outdoor seating area and full length windows allow for a relaxed, airy atmosphere, and the 40 tap beer delivery system never disappoints.
Chill spot for burgers, pizza & more features beer brewed in-house & a lanai with tiki torches.

First time visit and this place was so good! Beer was refreshing after a hike to the lighthouse. There were 2 of us so we ordered 3 items to split. They even split the fish sandwich for us. All the flavors made me so happy. The tuna in the poke were very large cubes and the red onion was a nice balance. I couldn’t pick a favorite dish because they are all so good. We left feeling really fun and satisfied.

Located right off the marina. The restaurant was live and welcoming. Server was very interpersonal. She provided great recommendations for beers. First time for beers. Enjoyed the Big Wave Golden Ale, Fire Rock Pale Ale and 2 seasonal beers, i can’t remember.
Food was delicious. Shrimp Tacos, Island Mixed Green Salad, Chipotle Black Bean Sandwich with a side of Chips were a hit.

This was my 2nd time here. Because of the holidays, they were out of fish as no one there had ordered fish. I couldn’t have fish tacos and my friends couldn’t have fish sandwiches.
I enjoyed the beer here last year. This time, they were out of ALL of the IPAs! Thankfully, our server recommended the Spruce Goose (not on the menu) and I had that.
I ordered the pizza which had macadamia nuts. It was surprisingly delicious—just not hot.
Our waitress had an attitude.
Two of four bathroom stalls were out of order. The one I used had no toilet paper. I mentioned this right away.
45 minutes later, when I used the restroom again, the stall I hadn’t used before was also out of toilet paper!
Worst of all, their suggested tip starts at 20%. I am good at math and I used to be a waitress. No one needs to “suggest” anything to me!
And unless the service is above average, a server doesn’t deserve a minimum of 20%!

Great location by the marina with nice views. Good selection of drinks and cocktails. Fish was fresh and portion size was good considering the price.
Other reviews say it is not dog friendly, but I can confirm it is dog friendly on their outside lanai.

Kona Brewing Hawaii Kai is a beautiful spot with a great mix of good food, quality beer, and some of the best harbor views you’ll find anywhere on O‘ahu. We stopped in for a drink and a quick snack, and it ended up being a really enjoyable visit. The views alone make the trip worthwhile—there’s something special about sipping a cold beer while looking out over the water.
We tried a couple of their beers along with the chicken wings, and everything was delicious. The wings in particular were a highlight—crispy, flavorful, and a perfect pairing with a cold Kona brew. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting, making it an easy place to sit back and enjoy the island breeze. Service was also excellent. Staff were friendly, attentive, and kept everything running smoothly even during the busier moments.
The only downside, and the reason for the 4-star rating, was the merchandise area. I’m a big fan of brewery swag and was looking forward to picking some up, but the whole section was roped off and unavailable for browsing. It was disappointing to leave without grabbing anything, especially when I was ready to buy.
Overall, Kona Brewing Hawaii Kai is still a great stop for good beer, tasty food, and unbeatable harbor views. A solid experience with just one small area for improvement. Highly recommended for anyone in the area!

We stopped by after a short hike up Koko head – the restaurant is behind all the other stores, so it was not the most obvious to find. We sat by the waterside and observed the boats besides the hills

Great brewery with outside deck seating on the marina. Enjoyed the macadamia nut crusted catch of the day and Cobb salad and both were delicious. Sunset views were lovely. Service was friendly and attentive.

The macadamia crust fish was so delicious. Slightly crunchy, buttery fish, delicious sauce, nicely charred greens, and perfectly cooked rice. 10/10 would recommend. This restaurant was just a pit stop before getting malasadas from Leonard’s but turned out to be one of my favorite meals in Honolulu. Great views too.
