Well I had high hopes for Via 313. It was my wife and my first time eating here, the restaurant was clean and nice, the waiter asked if we had been there before we said its our first time coming in. I asked if the bar style pizza was crispy he said yes so we decided to order one of those, a detroit pepperoni along with a salad. The salad was decent with no complaints, the detroit pizza was ok but seemed light on the toppings and could have been cooked a little more but the bar type was definitely not crispy by any means. It definitely seemed undercooked but not raw, I asked the waiter next time he came by if this is how y’all do it there, showed him the crust, he said it looks a bit light in color and said we can order it more crispy next time and that was it. To sum it up, we did tell the waiter it was our first time, asked if it was crispy crust, answered yes, came out very floppy crust like a tortilla is the best thing I can use to describe it, brought it to the attention of the waiter and was told I can order it crispy next time. For a specialized pizza restaurant I expected more, this experience doesn’t make me want to return.

Not sure what we were expecting but we agreed that this would not be our “Pizza Go To”. We tried the Detroit Style Classic Cheese and the sauce tasted like tomatoes, water, and Italian seasoning. Also ordered the bar style Funkadelic Chicken. It wasn’t “crispy” like most bar style pizzas. I asked if it had a tomato sauce on it and was told “yes”… well, it doesn’t. Service was super slow and the place wasn’t 1/3 full. We will keep looking for that go to. Via 313 still has a lot of work to do to get to that level. Good luck, we won’t be back.

I stopped by Via 313 in Pearland for their soft opening, and I have to say—it definitely left a good first impression. I’d heard of their Detroit-style pizza before but had never tried it myself, so when I saw they were finally opening a location close to home, I figured it was the perfect chance to check it out.

The vibe walking in was really welcoming. The staff greeted us right away, and even though it was a soft opening and you could tell everyone was still getting into their rhythm, the energy was good. The space itself is stylish but laid-back, kind of industrial with warm touches—exposed brick, big windows, and clean lines. You could easily show up in casual clothes and feel right at home, but it also has a polished feel that makes it a solid date night or group hangout spot.

Now let’s talk about the pizza—because that’s why we’re all here, right?

We ordered two pies to split: The Detroiter and The Omnivore. First of all, the crust? Incredible. Perfectly crisped on the edges, chewy in the middle, and that caramelized cheese on the border? Game changer. The Detroiter had two layers of pepperoni—one underneath the cheese, one on top—and both had a little kick. The sauce was ladled on after baking, which I wasn’t used to, but it really worked. The Omnivore was also a hit, with just the right balance of veggies and meats—nothing soggy or overcooked. You could tell they care about quality ingredients.

They were running a limited menu for the soft opening, which is totally understandable. I would’ve liked to try some of their salads or appetizers, but they were holding those back for the full launch. Service was a little slow at times, but everyone was friendly and genuinely trying their best, which makes a big difference. Our server checked in often, explained the menu well, and even asked for honest feedback since it was their opening phase.

One thing that really stood out was how transparent and open the staff were about it being a soft opening. They made it clear they were still working out some kinks and wanted input, which made the experience feel more personal—like you were part of helping them shape the future of the location.

The only reason I’m giving 4 instead of 5 stars is because of those minor first-week quirks—slightly slower service, a few menu items unavailable, and one of our pizzas came out a few minutes after the other. Nothing major, and honestly expected for a soft opening, but worth mentioning.

That said, I’ll absolutely be back once they’re in full swing. It’s great to finally have a unique pizza spot like this in Pearland. If you’re tired of the usual chain places and want something with character, depth, and that crispy cheese edge that dreams are made of—Via 313 is worth the visit.

We recently checked out a new Detroit-style pizza spot that was on our list to try, and overall it was a great experience! There’s plenty of parking, which made things easy right from the start. As soon as we walked in, the host greeted us quickly and warmly. Even with a party of seven, we were seated in no time—big plus!

We ordered two different pizzas: one thin and one thick. Both arrived hot, fresh, and loaded with flavorful toppings. The sauce was a standout—super tasty and clearly made with care. The restaurant was clean and comfortable, and we appreciated that a member of the management team stopped by our table to check in on us. It’s always a nice touch when they make the effort.

The only downside was the service, which felt a bit off at times. But since it’s a new place, we’re hopeful it’ll smooth out with a bit more time and experience.

All in all, it was a delicious meal and we’re definitely planning to come back to try more of the menu. Looking forward to seeing this place grow!

Staff and the server did an excellent job recommending what to try because it was our first time. We got 2 small pizzas and just water for drinks. Both Detroit style. It was very filling and a lot for 2 people. We got to take some to go. It is a bit pricey, but the flavor is excellent.

The outdoor seating was perfect for pizza on a patio. We ordered the large (8 slices) for two people, just in case, but the small (2 slices) would have been perfect. Their portions are generous and the servers are excellent. Olivia checked in with us at appropriate intervals without making us feel like we were being watched. She timed our food perfectly! We had a starter Cesar salad, the Cadillac (post dinner picture included) and for dessert the Red Velvet Hub Cap (sorry, we ate it all before we remembered the picture)!
