If you’re anywhere near Carmel, you have to stop by Bub’s Burgers & Ice Cream. This place absolutely lives up to the hype.
The atmosphere is fun, laid-back, and full of energy—especially with people taking on their famous burger challenges. The staff was friendly, quick, and made the whole experience even better. You can tell they take pride in what they do.
Now let’s talk about the food. The burgers are fresh, juicy, and cooked perfectly. You can taste the quality in every bite. The toppings were generous, the bun held up great, and everything came out hot and fast. And of course, I had to take it to the next level…
I beat their 1-pound burger challenge. Finished the whole thing and earned my spot on the board. It was a battle, but absolutely worth it. If you love burgers and want to test yourself, this is the place to do it.
And don’t skip the ice cream — it’s the perfect way to celebrate a win.

Ugly never tasted so good! We shared the sloppy waffle fries (messy and awesome), I went for the “Twice as Ugly” and my wife had the “Settle for Less Ugly.” Both burgers were juicy, tasty, and cooked just right. The cookies & cream milkshake? Ohhh wow… pure happiness in a glass!
Big thanks to our super polite server who even spoke a little Spanish with us — made us feel right at home. We’ll be back for more “ugly” soon!

Burgers are great, my favorite currently. Fries are good although a bit more in the serving would be nice. This was my third time at this location since the Westfield Bubs closed and service was very good. Food came fast and was hot, my Elk burger was cooked perfectly and the fries were crispy.
Atmosphere was OK, cleanliness was decent as well. Will be visiting again first chance I have!

Traveled out of state to visit. Manager was rude but waitress was great! Pricey juicy burgers but good. Overall could have spent my money in a better atmosphere & nicer ownership.

Was in town for an overnight stay with my son. Did a quick Google search and found this place. Glad we did. Food was great! Owner was very nice and the waiter was very accommodating. The burger was fantastic and I sampled the wings. Crispy wings, smothered in sauce? You never get both, but you do here! Would definitely go back!

We didn’t know what to expect when looking for a place. We came in from out of town, and we were just looking for a place to eat before we headed home. We were absolutely amazed by the food. The burgers had a perfect sear, and the spices added so much flavor. My wife said it was the best waffle fries were cooked perfectly. Rarely do we go to a place and just simply rave about the food while we’re eating, and we are the type that like to try new local places. Our server was also on it with refills, and the food came out quick. Even though we are 2.5 hours away, we will be back.

I’ve gone here since I can remember, and I’ve eaten the big ugly three times. I love everything about this place. The food is always great, service is fun, and polite always, and the restaurant itself is truly one of a kind. Walking in and seeing hundreds of pictures on the wall of people who finished the 1lb burger (or maybe even 4 of them) is always so cool to me, and to top it all off they make amazing ice cream and milkshakes. Truly one of the greatest restaurants in Carmel.

Incredible tasting burgers on an even better view directly off the Monan. Was taken here by a good friend and was not at all let down by the good tasting burgers, fries, and burger names!
The burgers and buns are made in house which make it very unique.

Our group of 41 visited Carmel and ate lunch at Bub’s. The food, service, hospitality and atmosphere at Bub’s were all outstanding and crowd favorites!!! From reserving our spot to park the Motorcoach to running up and down the stairs to serve us—-they could not have been nicer, more efficient, or more fun and kind! The food was fabulous, too! We will return! A special shoutout to GM Faith for her attention to detail and her efficiency and to Chase and Zack for great service as well!! This place is a gem!
