If you have a small appetite like my wife, 5 course might be a lot. She was full by dessert. All of the dishes were amazing.
The server was great and provided good recommendations and later gave us a quick tour of the kitchen.
The wait staff was absolutely top notch — Zach, Matt, and the bartenders all went above and beyond. Attentive, knowledgeable, welcoming, and genuinely kind. You could tell they take pride not only in their work but in the experience they create for every guest.
The food… there truly are no words. Every bite was incredible. Flavorful, thoughtfully prepared, and clearly made with passion. Getting the opportunity to see the kitchen was an added bonus and only deepened my appreciation for the care and skill that goes into each dish.
It was an amazing night filled with outstanding food and even better people. Experiences like this stay with you — they aren’t just meals, they’re memories.
Until next year, I wish you all a fantastic year ahead. This is an absolute must-go place. If you get the chance, you owe it to yourself to have this experience at least once in your life. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Everything from the very start was off and not to the standard of a Michelin star restaurant. Things like missing napkins, dirty water glass, delay on getting stool for my purse, and inability to have enough time to go over drink menu was an unpleasant start but gave an idea of what to expect.
Talking about food is subjective but this year’s menu is unremarkable, inconsistent and questionable quality. One of the amuses had caviar as garnish. Left me feeling like I was drinking fish juice. As a caviar connoisseur – this is not something that you should taste. Beet tartlet could not hold all the moisture from ricotta and beets and was literally falling apart. Since it was also served on the bed of green buckwheat, I left quite a mess, to say the list.
Scallops were tasting fine but very oily and greasy. Mushrooms were supposed to enhance the umami flavor but the amount of oil killed the purpose.
Halibut is something that I had to send back due to how salty the dish was. They remain it and put the spice on the side. It took care of an issue but ruined the experience.
Bison was delightful – juicy, tender, perfectly cooked.
Now as for dessert. It was the worst part of the dinning experience. Almost every dessert had some sort of mousse in it. Flavors were not delicate and appearance was amusingly eye bothering. One of the desert was a heart with matcha and jello. It looked like a huge blub of something that you may get at the discount store.
In all, the highlight of the meal was cognac, bread and meat. The experience left me unsatisfied and $1400 lighter. Would probably be better off with in room service and a new pair of shoes.
The tasting menu itself was a remarkable journey. Every dish was beautifully presented with meticulous detail, showcasing refined technique and bold yet balanced flavors. Each course felt intentional—textures, colors, and tastes coming together in a way that showed the kitchen’s skill and creativity. The ingredients were clearly top-quality, and the transitions between courses were thoughtful and harmonious.
The wine pairings elevated the experience even further, complementing each dish without overwhelming it. The ambiance of the dining room added to the enjoyment—elegant, serene, and polished without feeling stiff or overly formal. It created an atmosphere where you could relax and truly savor every moment.
Overall, my experience at Daniel was extremely pleasant and memorable. The tasting menu was refined, artful, and satisfying, and the impeccable service made the evening feel special from start to finish. I would gladly return for another celebration or fine-dining experience.
Every single dish was a masterpiece, beautifully plated, thoughtfully crafted, and bursting with exquisite flavor combinations that are truly unique. It’s impossible to choose a favorite because each course was exceptional in its own way, both in taste and presentation.
The entire experience felt refined, balanced, and remarkably harmonious. You can feel the passion, creativity, and precision behind every creation.
We frequently visit Chef Daniel’s various restaurants, and each one has its own signature charm.
Thank you for an extraordinary evening and a gastronomic journey we will always remember. We look forward to coming back soon. ✨
Canapes: Excellent start. There was a uni bite I really enjoyed, though I wish I remembered the rest—it all went by quickly but set the tone nicely.
Maine Sea Scallop Carpaccio: A solid beginning to the courses. The scallop paired beautifully with grapefruit—fresh, light, and delicious.
Warm Seafood Fricassee: This one was interesting. It came with small pieces of snail, octopus, squid, mussels, a SINGLE small pieces of lobster, and scallop. The seafood itself was great, though the sauce threw me off—it had a peanut or nutty flavor that didn’t work for me (personal preference, since I’m not a fan of nutty sauces). The squid was also a little chewy. Funny enough, while I was jotting notes on my phone, the waiter came over almost immediately to check in and even offered to replace the dish. I appreciated the attentiveness but decided to keep it.
Black Cod: Served with caviar and beluga lentils. The texture of the fish was tender and cooked well, though slightly bland.
Pennsylvania Duck: Perfectly cooked—medium and tender—but I wasn’t a fan of the olives embedded in the duck or the pecan sauce, which I felt didn’t complement the dish.
Mekonga (Dessert): A dark chocolate dessert with coconut milk jam. I didn’t get much of the coconut flavor, but overall it was a solid, well balanced dessert.
They also served freshly baked madeleines at the end, which were decent but not particularly memorable. The chocolate piece with gold flakes looked pretty but didn’t taste special, and the mini coffee macaron was a definite miss for me.
At the end of the night, they invited us into the kitchen for a quick look. It was a kind gesture, though there wasn’t much to see—nice touch, but not particularly rewarding… meh…
Overall, I’d give Daniel a strong 4 stars. The service was exceptional—though it did slow down once the restaurant got busy, and we ended up waiting almost 30 minutes for dessert. Still, it was a great experience overall. A few dishes could use small tweaks. But, solid
